I’m 83 and I run 30 to 50 miles per week. In 2014 a little too much chemo cured my cancer but left me with severe neuropathy in both hands and legs. My grip strength has disappeared and my balance is not good. I always wear both tights and compression socks because they help to restore my proprioception so that I trip or fall less often. I have tried many compression socks and sleeves, including CWX, Truform, Copper Fit, Kingbridal, SB SOX, Thirty48, Blitzu, Relaxsan, and Hi Clasmix. The Lemon Heros are by far the best for me for these reasons: The open toe design means they don't press painfully on my toenails. All of the closed toe designs eventually start hurting so that I can't wear them for a half-marathon or farther. They are the easiest to put on. They require no grip strength at all and even have a loop of fabric on the pull tab so I can zip them up with one finger. The Kingbridal are second in this category. Of the others, only CWX and Copper Fit come close to being "easy" to put on. The open end on my foot fits firmly but without too much pressure. Other open toe designs leave a ring of soreness around my foot after an hour or so of running. I can wear the Lemon Heros all day long with no discomfort. The Lemon Heros provide excellent ankle support and compression around the entire calf even though the fabric is thin enough that I can wear Thorlo socks over them for more comfort and cushioning. The tights slip on easily over the Heros and Thorlos. I even add Zensah leg warmers for cold weather. The SB SOX and Blitzu sleeves provide good ankle support but don't cover the calf, so don't help as much with proprioception. In short, the Lemon Heros are the answer to my prayers, compression socks built by people who understand human anatomy and the needs of the people who wear them. They even have a "skin guard" strip to prevent the zipper from catching on skin or hair. I finally feel strong again and fully in control of my legs and feet. All that remains is to see how well the zipper/fabric connection holds up with long usage. I've worn them only about a dozen times and so far they look good. I'm careful to put foot powder on my heels and hold the sides of the zipper together (as much as possible) while putting them on so as not put stress on the zipper. Update 7/22/21 I've been wearing these socks regularly for 10 months, at least every other day for 1 to 2 hours while I run and a total of 3 to 4 hours per wearing. They have held up far better than expected. The fabric loops on the pull tabs came off, which was more or less expected and not a big deal because they aren't really necessary. I thought that by now, with all the donning and doffing and washing, I'd start to see holes developing in the heels, but from what I can see, I'll get at least another 6 months of wear before I'll have to discard them. That's really good for my running socks. Even my Thorlos don't always last that long. The zipper/fabric connection still looks 100% solid. BTW, I always wear cheap cotton gloves when putting the socks on, because the gloves prevent my fingernails from digging into the fabric and, over time, weakening it. They tell you to wear the zipper on the inside of your leg. I wear it on the outside because I have a sensitive spot on the inside of my leg just where the bottom of the zipper lies. The zipper causes that spot to itch. Wear your socks however you like.

And...you can actually put them on easily. I have arthritic neuropathy in my hands so I use a sock aid (you can get it for about $6-12 on Amazon) It is still a little effort but being overweight I can't safely get at my feet and this allows me to put the compression hose on without the strength of a weight lifter to get them over my toes. They zipper up and work great without feeling too much pressure. I highly recommend them.

I've bought my senior mother several different pairs of compression socks. They are very helpful in reducing swelling and pain but so hard to get on! Then I saw these with the zipper. Such a big difference! Instructions say to use some powder first and that is an additional help. These are great socks!! Our only issue is that they're a little long and zip up right under her knees, causing them to swell some. Be sure to measure and get the right size.

Received socks on time and used right away. They're easy to wear and comfortable. After sitting at my desk for more than 4-5 hours, I noticed my feet didn't swell, as they normally do! Thank you! One small note: pls be careful when zipping up, side zipper lining can get pulled up, as well.

I'm extremely satisfied with these compression socks .I had ordered another pair before these and got them too small and couldn't stand to wear them so I ordered a size up and there great. I've had no problem putting them on or off now and they help so much. I've had several pair over the years and of all the ones I've bought ,these are hands down the best and trust me if your having to wear compression socks ,make sure they zip up .I hated before having to what felt like pure torture pulling the sock all the way up to the knee and then pulling it back down to get them off..Total nightmare ,I swear putting the ones in the past on was like literally putting on ski boots and taking them off..Thank God for whomever invented the zipper on these ..And the price was really a great deal ..

i bought these for my mother who is 82 Years old and has problems with her legs and ankles swelling all the time. She had some other socks that she had to pull on and they were so tight that she really struggled getting them on and off. These are much cheaper and she can get them on and off very easily with the zipper. I will be ordering more of these for her so she will have several pairs to change out of daily.

i love this socks, i am female and 5'11 and it is usually difficult to find anything that fits properly in lenghth, but this socks did, the compression is just enough that i can wear them all day without any problem and the zipper on the outside makes it very easy to get them on and off. i remember having to help my mother years ago to get compression socks on and it was a real struggle and almost impossible without help for an elderly person and at 75 i would think i am in that category - but back to the zipper, who ever though about it needs an award - the zipper made getting this socks pn so easy, no struggle to get the sock just over the foot, it was amazingly easy to pull it up in the right position on the leg and all that was left was to pull the little handle, ingineous, i loved it so much, i ordered them with toes, without toes and different colors. thank you for having such a wonderful medical needed item. oh, and i almost forgot, they feel silky on the skin and look very good when i wear them. in sandals, with my lackered toes out, you can barely see that i wear compression socks. wonderful product and i highly recommend if you need them to try this brand

I have wasted so much time and money on support stockings that did not work for me - most I couldn’t get on or had to cut them to get them off. More expensive (like bombas and viasox) went on but didn’t stay up. This is the first pair with a zipper. I used their size chart and they are great. I can actually get my chubby calf into them, they stay up, and I’m pretty sure they are made in the USA which is a big plus in my book.

Excellent product when on your feet all day. They are not binding but comfy, easy to put on, legs don't get a heavy tired feeling when doing a lot of walking or standing. The zipper is a wonderful idea and the little white tab that keeps the leg hairs from getting caught in the zipper is a great idea. Very pleased with this product.

I am very happy with these socks and recommend them highly, and I'll tell you why. I have arthritis in my hands, and all the "regular," non-zippered, compression socks I have tried proved to be extremely difficult to wrestle onto my legs. The zipper in these socks make them so much easier to put on, and the flap behind the zipper that they've added means nothing gets caught in the zipper, which is also nice. I also really like the open-toe design because closed-toe socks hurt my toes a lot. The first pair of socks I bought about a year ago, and they arrived with a broken nylon zipper. So I contacted Amazon to get my money back, which was promptly refunded. I did not contact Lemon Hero Health because I didn't think of it; instead, the next day they contacted me wanting to know what the problem had been. When I wrote back that the socks had arrived with a broken zipper, they offered to send me a new pair, free of charge. The new pair had metal zippers that worked great. So not only am I impressed with the product, I am very impressed and pleased with their customer service. These socks have proven to be very comfortable while reducing the swelling in my ankles and feet. After a year's almost daily use, I have finally had to replace the original pair because they have started to lose some of their compression ability. And today I ordered another pair, so I'll be able to alternate the socks and never have to do without while a pair is drying. These compression socks are a really excellent product from a company with superb customer service, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Outstanding all the way around.

I did not try this size on the elderly gentleman I originally bought it for as his legs were hurting him; however, I also have swollen legs from working on my feet during the day. I ordered a size too large for him but was my size and when I tried it on, I had no trouble getting my foot into it. I did have a little trouble figuring out how to zip it up with only two hands. I pinched the zipper together about 2 inches up and then pulled the nice extender on the zipper. Then I moved another 2 inches up and it did not upzip which allowed me to continue to pull it up. It was more awkward on my right leg as I couldn't reach around as easily. Next time, I will put the zippers on the inside on my calf and that should solve any awkwardness. I can feel the slight compression as I was hoping (I didn't want the tight compression store bought stockings had) but have not worn it all day at work yet. I fully expect that this will give me the extra help and relief I was looking for but probably would not have helped the elderly gentleman who needs the stronger compression for medical reasons. The zipper lays extremely flat and I have no worries about it causing any skin irritation. I also didn't have any concerns about zipping my skin as I put them on. I am extremely pleased with the comfort and ease of putting them on.

I bought these compression socks to wear while flying. As a big gal it's hard to find compression socks that fit and that are comfortable. These sock are easy to put on and they have a side zipper which make it easy to get on and off . I especially love the opened toed since I wear flip flops while flying. So yeah very comfortable. Overall pleased with these compression socks.

I ordered these for my dad who suffered for years with edema. These have been a lifesaver! He is a large man and NONE of his doctors recommended this product. Almost a year ago after heart surgery the doctors recommended compression socks but the help in the hospital refused to put them on him. They told my mom that she just had to work harder to stretch them up. Ridiculous! She couldn't get the product that they gave her over his toes let alone his feet and calves! My mom took to daily wrapping them with ace bandages. Sometimes she wrapped them too tight and his toes turned purple. I discovered the enormity of the problem when I flew in to help and was shocked. I searched Amazon and found these. Just to convey how wonderful this product is... my parents thank me EVERY time I am on the phone with them (which is often) for finding this. It has made an impossible situation into a minor daily routine and helped my mom to care for my father. The zipper is amazing and doesn't bother his calves at all. He removes them at night and my mom puts them on in the morning after his morning shower. I purchased two of these and they have stood the test of time. HIGHLY recommended.

The zipper to me could have been done better at the base. It should be more free standing This is a great support stocking but here is what you need to do. The satin material gets caught up in the zipper, so carefully pull the zipper up about an 1” to 1 1/2 making sure the satin material doesn’t get in the teeth of the zipper. Put the zipper on, holding the satin material away from the zipper and pull it all the way up. Bingo! At first I thought I had ordered the wrong size; I did not realize the material got stock in the teeth of the zipper. I took it off and started again and it worked. The other leg was a breeze to put on. I wear support stockings that were measured by a medical store, that why I bought a medium. A medium worked with these although, at first, when the zipper got stocked, I thought I needed a large. No I don’t, I have well tapered legs, no hoofs. Buy these. I never write reviews as soon as I get a product. I did with this product and will order the black. This fits about an 1 1/2 from my toes. The ones from the medical supply store goes all the way to my toes. That’s my only con. It is still great.
