FEATURES

  • HOW IT WORKS: Yarna CWD30 is a Patented alternative water softner for homes that treats water with electric pulses generated within the electronic unit and controlled by a micro-chip! These pulses are transmitted via our Ultra Flat Impulse Bands which breakdown crystals that would otherwise buildup into limescale, which can break appliances.
  • WHO BENEFITS FROM YARNA: Our customers report cleaner pipes and faucets, lower costs for descaling and heating, and better overall water quality using our whole house water softener system alternative. Depending on the current condition of your plumbing, it may take up to three months to observe a significant improvement
  • EASY INSTALLATION: All you need is access to a minimum of 10" of free pipe space with a maximum pipe diameter of 2". Yarna whole house water descaler is completely DIY with no need for any tools or specialized help. Our whole house water descaler works with any type of piping up to 2" thick
  • WHY DESCALING IS BETTER THAN SOFTENING: The Yarna CWD30 water softener descaling system won't eliminate beneficial minerals from water. Additionally, unlike traditional whole house water softeners, Yarna does not require the use of salt and does not allow water to be wasted
  • 365 DAYS MONEY BACK GUARANTEE: Should you not be satisfied with the product's performance, you have a whole year to return it for a full refund!

My 4th and hopefully final descaler, purchased the Yarna CWD48 for just 100$ more than than the residential model, just from experience Phoenix residents need commercial level descalers that can handle the Phoenix water 900ppm irrigating at 50gpm. Pros: Fastest install ever, thick copper bands wind quick, outdoor waterproof , so small can put anywhere, live oscilloscope display, (I don't have to use my own oscilloscope to check status of my descaler any more. Treats up to 4" pipe, 1.2 miles, that's industrial grade , it will have no problem handling 900ppm at 50gpg I have been using electronic descalers for the past 10yrs to reduce amount of mineral build up in the kitchen and bathrooms, to make cleaning easy, and less frequent, no ring around the toilet bowl, any calcium build up on plastic shower heads wipes of with a sponge once a month or every other month. Added bonuses: my lawn irrigation drip system and sprinklers have very little build up and require little to no maintenance cleaning/changing heads, Haven't changed a drip or sprinkler head since I moved in 4yrs ago, which is rare in phoenix for drip systems have about 20 drip heads running all year and 20 sprinklers with K Rain (screw on) rotary heads. My misting system requires very little maintenance with a occasional cleaning of a few heads during the year, for a system of 40 misters with 0.3mm orifice this is unheard of in phoenix. This is my 4th electronic descaler : At first I didn't understand the importance for testing gpg/ppm which in Phoenix uses well water in the summer goes as high as 900ppm /52gpg drops to 500-600 in winter when it uses surface water. So Phoenix area residents require a descaler that will go up to at least 60gpg or 1000ppm, typical residential models are not designed for use in phoenix especially when you want to use for irrigation system which is up to 50gpm at 850ppm, you need to buy a industrial/commercial descaler or note the gpm and gpg rating if buying a residental My 1st descaler DIY PCB descaler, square wave generator - noticed enough difference that convinced me descalers do work Cons: low power 12-18Volts ,50 windings, weak inductance, constant frequency pros :great starter model for 20$ Scale Blaster residential model SB-70 - noticed a bigger difference. Pros: good product for 75$ used, would work well in northern cities Cons: had to mount indoors and runs signal wire out through wall required a lot of windings, only up to 19gpg, Industrial/commercial (SB Max older version which treats up to 100gpg) - worked excellent, great product. very expensive retail 999$ found used for 399$ ,very large had to install inside the house all though it is rated for outdoor use I couldn't find the information on heat tolerance levels and customer service via phone didn't or wouldn't give that information cause the model was discontinued, long summers of 120F create internal temps of southern exposed metal machine towards 160F I assumed that would shorten the life significantly. so I ran the signal wire through the wall and had to wrap the wire 210 windings around 3/4inch incoming copper, which was really difficult, would still be using it but after 4yrs of use the wave generator became very loud, since it was inside the house it was disrupting sleep at night, so I gave it away. (Newer model of SB-Max only treats up to 40gpg can't use in Phoenix)

I had no desire to deal with chemical water softeners, so after researching this kind of product for quite some time and reading some reviews on this one, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger and purchase. It is installed on a residential well system between the pressure tank and whole house filter. I was encouraged by the capacitive system on this unit compared to other methods, the water resilience rating (in case of a plumbing leak) and requirement of only two smaller 10 inch lengths which made it easier to use with my existing PVC piping setup compared to other equivalent products. Self installation was simple and I secured the copper strips with electrical tape as suggested in other reviews. After a month of use, I've definitely noticed a difference in scale deposits similar to other reviews. Scale deposits still exist, but much less overall and what is there comes off far more easily, a wipe with a cleaning towel is enough. This is especially apparent on our electric kettle and in other places like the shower and even the toilet. Dishes washed in dishwasher do seem better and I would expect it to be since I'm seeing improvement in other places, but it's harder to tell as I've been letting glassware run through the descaling process on it's own rather than trying to manually clean it out. No comments on showers "feeling" cleaner, as that wasn't ever really an issue for me. My main purpose for installation was to reduce impact of hard water on a newly installed on-demand water heater. No way to know for certain how much it might help, but since I'm seeing a noticeable difference elsewhere, I'm quite happy with this one-time purchase with such a long warranty and ease of self-installation. I was honestly pretty skeptical about these devices and have kept their return policy in mind for the past month, but I'm now a believer! In my opinion it's a worthwhile and economical addition to any household with water that leans on the hard side. There may cheaper alternatives to this specific product, but this one, for me, definitely worked and I'm happy with my purchase.

I have a cabin in central Minnesota. The water out of my well tested at a hardness or 500 ppm / 30 grains per gallon hardness. Since the cabin is only a 3 seasons, I have been renting a water softener from Culligan. After a bad experience with the Culligan service team I decided not to rent their water softener and decided to give the Yarna CWD30 a try. I paid $339 and seemed a bit pricey, but is cheaper than a water softener and I do not have to worry about where to store it come winter (that's why I rented the water softener from Culligan since they came and removed it and stored it over winter). The Yarna CWD30 has been installed and operating for the last 4 weeks. Installation was EASY, simply involved finding a place to wrap the wires along the incoming water line into the cabin. The system requires around 30" of pipe length and ended up putting mine along a 90 degree bend. I can saw now after using for 4 weeks that it WORKS! If my water was not softened the toilet, shower, sinks, & fixtures would become stained from the hard water. With the Yarna CWD30 operating, I do not have any problems with staining. One comment to those considering a capacitive water descaling system - I have pretty hard water with significant iron and this descaling system is keeping my sinks, toilet, etc from getting stained and cruddy HOWEVER the water will still look a bit stained. For example, water out of my well looks like tea and after treating with the Culligan water softener was mostly clear but with the capacitive water descaler it has a slight tint of amber; so the capacitive water descaler is not removing the minerals from my water but it is keeping these minerals from depositing on my sinks, toilets, and plumbing like they advertise. In my opinion, I can deal with a slight tint in my well water as long as the system is keeping my sinks, toilets, shower, and fixtures clean - it's worth it not having to deal with a water softener and buying salt that is then going into my septic every time a softener has to recharge!

this is NOT A WATER SOFTENER. it's a descaler. it's supposed to prevent limescale from forming in your pipes and appliances. i don't know why they claim water softening. time will tell, i suppose. my house is a bit more than 5 years old. i started noticing clogs in my shower head and white spots where the water lays around on my sinks. my shower stall has plenty of limescale proof. i am not really looking to soften my water because i don't need the headaches associated with water-softening systems, especially the maintenance. i have heart disease, so a salt-based system works against my interests. they do have potassium-based systems, but they're pricey in both installation and maintenance. i am hoping this descaler does what it claims to do: DESCALE. i am ok with drinking hard water. it might actually help my health, plenty of vitamins and minerals. but i don't want to clog my pipes or replace my appliances due to limescale issues. i recently flushed my water heater. i had to replace one element that failed. i replaced both because i couldn't believe the limescale it had accumulated. my anode rods were shot, too. this gadget, model CDW-30, was a breeze to install. it has a one-year money back guarantee, so how can i go wrong. i also upgraded the warranty from one year to ten at the company's web site. if it works, i'm set; if it doesn't, i'll be blowing about $2k for a potassium-based system 😎 EDIT: after 6 months, my shower head still clogs, but there's no way to tell if it's the old stuff in the water heater dissolving or if this thing is not working. there is no change in my TDS. what to do, what to do. also, i do have to say that the way this ad reads, it's really bordering on deceptive business practices. the language used implies this thing will soften water, but all it really does--or is supposed to do--is descale the water, so you don't get limescale.

I am renovating right now and realized my water is very hard water. I checked our water company and they state it's hard water on their site. I had begun to look at systems but we have a small home so doing salt water seems like it's expensive and bulky. I saw a few of these types of products and picked this one bc the display at least shows me that it's working and on. Extensive review online shows that some feel this is a nonworking technology that doesn't do anything. I know enough from college chemistry and physics to know that passing a current through a coil produces an electromagnetic field and I searched online for literature and found that in fact there is research out there researching this method as a way to soften water while not extracting or changing the calcium deposits chemically. That fact was enough for me to think it's worth trying. After day one I felt my hair was softer for sure. I tried it again to make sure and yes it has felt softer after it has dried. Later in the day it feels different, it's hard to describe how it feels but I think it might be that I have less conditioner in my hair and I can feel the real oils of my hair more than before. Before I used a lot more conditioner and a lot of it stayed in my hair. Now it feels more clarified than before.also my dishwasher clear glass is way way cleaner than before. I had to use rinse aid a lot and still use it but it feels like there's a higher chance to get clear glasses without having to rely so much on rinse aid. I was only able to get it installed on our hot water heater incoming line bc the water to the house does not have an outlet nearby and also does not have enough stretch to be able to wrap the coils.i ended up getting some magnets to put on that to help the cold water a little. Our ice dispenser tray gets really bad hard water browning from water dripping down so I want to improve the cold water as well. Since installing it I have not had to use harsh chemicals to clean that tray and get the stains out. Also since we have a new glass shower door, it has been staying nice and clear whereas the previous one had a lot of calcium deposits on it. I know my husband doesn't think it actually works but you can't argue with the results. It will also be nice bc for our hot tub it's good to have calcium in your water so it won't affect that which will save us from having to adjust our water hardness for the hot tub.

FYI, I have my water pumped up in the outskirts of mountains and it is very chalky which my 50 liter water-softener tank cannot even take out completely. And I don't like the extra work it brings with it. So I went for the Yarna CWD48. For protection of the device outside against the rain, hot sun and small insects I mounted everything as much as possible in the shadow inside a IP67 P.P. box and shielded the box with Al. covered foam of 5 mm. thickness. The display can be monitored through a square opening in the front. Over the opening a uv-filtering see-through perspex piece is glued with P.P. glue and taped with black duct-tape. Given the low power consumption and the cool water flowing through the pipes I assume that the device will stay below its temperature rating. Because of the frequent net-power variations and interuptions, as a precaution I added a EMI-filter before the device's power-cord. On the short term, it may be my imagination and also considering that I no longer use the water-softener, it seems that when taking a shower the water feels a little different. On the longer term I hope and expect it will do the job! Update May 5 2023: I did not do any actual water-quality test-measurements but the CWD48 seems to be working better than the resin-based water-softener I used before. 1) There is no calcium-blocking of taps, at least not when used on a regular basis! I cannot say if less used taps would still be clogged up over time. 2) Static calcium build-up on the taps' environment does still happens, but a little less and (just) a little easier to remove. 3) Previous calcium build-up in water-closet flushing systems may have caused AND prevented some leakage issues before. The calcium is now probably breaking down gradually and also causing small leakages with 2 of my 3 w.c.'s. I expect to fix this as soon as most of the calcium build-up in the reservoirs has disappeared. After having fixed it I expect/hope that leakages caused by calcium will be a thing of the past. P.s. coincidence or not, a (cheap) tap outside the house also started leaking a bit. Conclusions: -------------- (Positive) All in all I am happy to have installed this device from Yarna, even if it were only for its maintenance time- and cost-reduction compared with my previous resin-based water-softener. And actually also a little for environmental- and health reasons. I like the space-saving and low electric power consumption too. Basic mounting of the unit as advertized is quite easy indeed. (Negative) Sometimes the environmental conditions are more harsh, like in my area. So one needs to make electric and/or mechanical provisions for that. The specific round shape of the CWD48 with its particular assembly holes positions, backside groove, as well as the asymmetric front screen relief makes it quite a challenge for non technically educated buyers with a limited toolbox. Imho, although maybe visually less attractive, a simple symmetric square shaped box design with a flat screen would make everything easier for DIY installation. Small point, the LED screen light intensity is a bit low. I realize though that an increase would rise the power consumption of the unit substantially (percent-wise) . Mind you, the trade-off works for me 😉 . Sorry for the long read 📚

I bought this Yarna CWD30 for my house about 6 months ago to try it to treat my hard water in Arizona. Where I am we get extermely hard water and leaves hard rings that can't be removed by simple scrubbing. The only way to remove it is to scrub it with a scouring stick. I also used another capacitive hard water system remover from another manufacturer before (from 2016 and stopped working after a while) and did not work while operating. That said, the Yarna CWD30 exceeded my expectation. After 6 months no hard ring in the toilets and if there is one it is removed easily by scrubung it lightly with a brush. This product works and recommended.

We live in a small western mountain town with very hard water, and the high terrace where the house sits has quite limited land around it. Installing an old-fashioned salt-based system would have taken up valuable space. In addition, it would have been notably more expensive than the salt systems I had installed before on level ground on the east coast because of the labor and equipment required to hoist everything up to this level (not to mention the ongoing efforts to haul bags of salt up). When I was considering the Yarna system as an alternative, I mentioned it to a friend in Alaska who told me it was the same technology (scaled down, of course) which the big oil companies use on the pipeline up there. I was still a bit skeptical, but we purchased the product, and our handyman had it installed and operating within an hour...very simple, and it takes up almost no space. The next morning, my partner was all smiles when she got out of the shower because she got far more suds and said she finally felt really clean. She also mentioned the lack of "sliminess" she had always felt with salt-softened water. After a few weeks, I noticed we were no longer getting the mineral rings on the toilets which had previously required constant cleaning. In short, we were both quite happy. My old salt systems could not have done better, and in fact, we like this better. The one thing to note: if you leave water sitting for weeks (as we did on vacation a month or so ago), the minerals will start to crystalize again since this system does not remove them, just ionizes them for a period of time so they don't have a chance to do so (at least that's the way I understand it). The true test of a product and the company behind it, though, is what happens if something goes wrong. Every manufacturer, no matter how top-notch their quality control, winds up with a few "lemons" from time to time. Our unit worked fine for about six months, then quit (or, at least, the LED indicator stopped working). I have become so cynical about warranties that, at first, I thought of just throwing it in the trash and trying something else. Instead, I contacted the company, and a wonderful rep named Girlie responded immediately, told me the warranty was certainly in effect, and advised me on the simple process. Within a very short period, we had a replacement unit which is again providing excellent water. I've been on this earth for many years and have had many similar issues, but I can't think of any resolutions which have been more pleasant. Thank you, Girlie and Yarna!

We've now had this installed in our mechanical room in the garage since December 1, 2021. Based on the reviews, we knew it would be unpredictable if it worked for us, due to variations in water chemistry. We are in a two-year old home. We have dark tile in two shower stalls, and the build-up we were getting was fast and incredibly difficult to remove. We tried scrub brushes/sponges and the normal, commercially available tile cleaners for hard water stains. It could be done, but with incredible time and effort. Our dishwasher was also leaving spots, despite using an additive. Even water splashed onto countertops was leaving hard to clean water stains. Several hours after installation, I washed my hands. I'd forgotten we'd installed it, but I noticed the water felt subtly softer when rubbing my fingers together. Then it dawned on me and I thought, huh, it can't be working already can it? We had hard water staining on the shower tile at time of installation. I'd seen some reviewers say old stains came off easily after installation. Frankly, I didn't believe that, because those stains are the hardened, old stuff, and not the newly treated water. But I used the shower head spray to hit the stained tile and scrubbed them WITHOUT product. After the shower stall dried, I could not believe my eyes! A large amount of the hard water staining had come off! I was only hoping for lack of NEW buildup. There are still a couple stubborn, old stains I'm working on, but we are thrilled with the results we're seeing throughout this 2,400 sq. foot home. With the one-year return/refund guarantee, I think this is definitely worth a try. 10-year warranty if you register it. We feel it's a bargain for what it has done for us. Your mileage may vary. 10 MONTH UPDATE: Our unit continues to work and remaining hard water stains on the dark tile in our shower have just disappeared. Our tile almost looks new again without scrubbing the stains. I guess the spray of water from the shower, hitting the old water stains, somehow dissolved them. We feel very fortunate as I see others have had issues with their units, or the water hardness has not improved for them. For us, it's nothing short of a miracle how well it's worked. 2 YEAR, 9 MONTH UPDATE: Still going strong with zero issues.

I purchased this device to descale. Installed it last night, flushed the water from my pump tank using each of the spigots in the house and the outdoor spigots via the sprinkler system. The descaling review update will come in a few months; however, a few of my indoor faucets would have that rotten egg smell - not terrible, but you knew it was there. Interestingly enough, it is all but gone. I have one bathroom faucet if you turn it on and smell it closely there is a hint and then it goes away. That's why I gave it five stars. Added bonus! My house is just over a year old. Water filtration is coming but I wanted to start with a descaler first.

I built my home 11 years ago in Eagle, Idaho where we have moderately hard water of 6-9 GPG. Not wanting to deal with the physical, logistic, and monetary burdens of hauling salt home as well as the environmental and water waste issues, I installed a Pelican descaler, which cost about $1,500. If it ever worked, it definitely had stopped working as I had increasing lime scale issues on all water faucets (and surrounding countertops), shower heads, water dispensers, etc. I'd come to the conclusion I would need to buy and install a water softener. In doing the research on which softer to buy, I came across Yarna. After reading the reviews and learning of the one-year money back guarantee, I decided I had nothing to loose with an experiment to prove that it could not possibly work! I bought the CDW30 model after a quick interaction with the company suggested that the higher wattage vs. the CDW20 would increase the capacity of Yarna to do its thing. I also liked the black more than the orange exterior. The installation of Yarna is trivial if you have an easily accessible ingress pipe. I did, but first had to uninstall the Pelican and make a change to the location of my sediment filter. My plumbing is PEX, which makes changes like this relatively easy. Wrapping the wire straps is a little challenging. I'd probably use electrical tape to secure the ends instead of the included cable ties if I were doing it again. Above all, the instruction manual and online videos are high quality. Yarna clearly tells you to give the product three months to do its magic. However, I was amazed to start noticing results after 12 hours. I didn't notice anything different in using the water, however, scale that was nearly impossible to remove without great effort and vinegar started to come off with my fingernail. It's now been one and one-half weeks and the results I'm seeing are simply amazing. My kitchen faucet is 100% free of scale, clogged sprayers are working like new, and other really bad trouble spots like bath tub faucets and shower heads are well on their way to recovery. I'm convinced that the product is working as advertised, that the scale will be entirely gone within three months. Equally important, I fully expect that the Yarna will keep scale from returning and building up in the future. And most important, no salt!

I was looking and researching to get a "Whole house water softener" because of all the scales and limes we have in our appliances, sinks, and pretty much everywhere that we use tap water, especially with our electric water heater. Every 6 months I have to flush it to make sure it's running optimally. I live in northern Virginia and our water is about 178 ppm (TDS) with hard water which is not too bad, comparing to other places I have seen (up 700 ppm). Anyway, researching the water softener, I found that there seems to be a lot of negatives about it. How it's not good for the environment, how much water is wasted, and you really can't drink it, but most of all, expensive! The minimum for my house and used is about 1500 dollars, that's not including the installation part. And if I do decide to go with one, I'll either need a reverse osmosis(RO) system or another whole house water filtration system, which could add up to a fat amount! And not to forget their maintenance costs. But luckily I came across Yarna, an electronic water descaler or water softener alternative. These electronic water descalers are so much more affordable and maintenance-free! So, I went with the Yarna CWD48 model (I picked its top of the line :). The installation was quick (wrap it around your pipe(s)) and forget about it)! It literally took less than 10 minutes to install, the most work is wrapping it around the pipe, this is sweat-free! And with the CWD48 I still have a good budget for a water filtration system (under-the-counter or may a whole-house system). This way it's more affordable and cost-saving! And by the way, the Yarna CWD48 works up to 1.2 miles, not like most other brands seem to only work up to 50 feet! My installation is only recent but I am excited and looking forward to its progress. And Yarna's customer service has been excellent. They seem to stand behind their products. They are very helpful and responsive! Most likely, in about six months I'll update this review with great results.

Tried because the $1,700 “water purification system “ we purchased a year ago seemed to help for a couple of months but then faded in performance and went back to the same hard well water that left terrible white residue in our sinks, dishwasher, and shower, and kept soap from lathering up. I was skeptical about whether or not it the “copper wrap” type would work but after about 2 weeks we noticed fewer white spots in the basins and showers as well as soap actually staying on our skin longer and lathering our hair better, with a somewhat “softer” feeling than before. The $1,700 treatment people said that ours didn’t work well because the water heater caused a reversal at the “molecular level “ and nullified the operation of their unit. Unfortunately it was past the return date so now we’re stuck with a 4’ tall tank we don’t need but at least we still get to use the UV light and carbon filter that came with it. The heater doesn’t seem to affect this system. The only thing we lack is a sediment filter I would like to put at the inlet of where our water enters the house. As a note, our water hardness was a 9.4 when tested before we purchased the first unit, which is considered just shy of the “very hard” on the water hardness scale. We are on well water. Overall very pleased.

I was skeptical before I bought it. However, the proof is out there. Glass on the left is the settlement from water before I installed the softener and the glass on the right is after. There is a huge difference.

Installed this a month ago and our water fixtures, hot water kettle, coffee pot, and washing machine are all showing signs that it's working. My observations: -We have some black farmhouse waterspout faucets that had a decent amount of calcium buildup. I scraped off as much as I could prior to installation and I would have expected some to form by now. I have noticed that the water runs right off the spout, where before it would pool up. -Our hot water kettle would develop a calcium ring that could only be removed by soaking it in vinegar, but now can be scrubbed off. -We would easily see grainy coffee stains on the coffee pot, but now it's clean and clear. -The front loading washing machine would have a hard dirty ring develop over a couple weeks, but now there's no sign of a ring at all. -Bathroom sinks used to look like someone spit toothpaste all over in them, but that has gone away completely. -Washed our cars and the few water spots that were left on the windows wiped right off. Before it would have required vinegar to remove them. I'm a satisfied customer. Registered it to receive the 10 year warranty. Update - Feb 2023 - All is still good. Update - March 2024 - It only got better with time. Still works great.

I approached the project with skepticism as opinions on magnetic and electronic water softeners were all over the map. And I stayed away from salt-based softeners because of my aversion to the on-going cost, work and the sodium discharge. The Yarna device is relatively easy to install if you can find a one-and-half_foot length of pipe near the mains. And you possibly have to run a power cable to where you will install the descaler. The installation itself takes about 20 minutes. The effect is instant! That evening I had a good shower with rich suds which I have not had since I moved into my current home years ago. I still see calcium deposits, but they are not cemented onto surfaces (shower doors, hot water kettle, etc.) like before. The device is non-invasive, and it does not alter the chemistry of the water, only its physical properties. I measured the power consumption to be 1.8 watt. That is about 23 days of continuous use for each KWh. I highly recommend this device.

Since installing the disc scaler 2 years ago, I’ve noticed our dishwasher has less hard water scaling, and when we wash glasses, we never have any water spotting, in spite of the fact we never use rinse aid. We also don’t have any scaling at our showerheads or at our faucets. Wasn’t the cheapest descaler but I’m very pleased with the results. I highly recommend the product!

Yarna CWD30 was installed outdoors in weather-protected box. Copper ribbon wrapped the water line under insulation. Proof of its function was the lack of hard water deposit inside my one-gallon distiller. When the distiller sudddenly, again, started collecting hard water deposition I complained to the supplier. I sent photo proof of correct copper wrapping and I was promptly issued a no-charge replacement. However, it dawned on me what was happening and I ended up paying for the second unit for future gifting to a friend. Let me explain: Remember that the supplier cautions that the chemcial conversion is only temporary and the components will return to their original chhemical structuce if the water is left undisturbed. It dawned on me what was happening. The distillation process delivers purified water, leaving behind concentrated sludge in a bit of water if I stop the distillation early. There is no hard water deposit; I simply wipe the sludge away. However, when I let the process continue to auto turn-off, there is no water left and the sludge becomes that hard water deposit. Mystery solved with added proof of the Yarna function as advertised.

It's been 4 weeks since I installed this product and I have been pleasantly surprised with the results. This was installed with a Culligan heavy duty water filter with 5 micron filtration. Within a few days after installation I noticed an improvement in hard water deposits around my kitchen sink and shower door. You could literally feel the hard water residue when wiping these areas originally and now after four weeks I don't get any significant deposits. Any mineral residue that is there (keep in mind the minerals are still there with this product) wipes away with a wet paper towel. Lawn sprinklers used to put hard water spots on my vehicles that could only be removed with a polish or compound....now the spotting I do get if water gets on the cars is significantly lighter and literally wipes off with a damp rag or spray polish (see before photo of car with water spots after Yarna installation and then after once wiped with spray detailer). Shower heads are also performing better. I used to have to clean out plugged holes every couple weeks or so and now barely any clogging at all. So bottom line I'm pleased with the results and this has been a great low maintenance alternative to a water softener. I'm not claiming this is equivalent to a water softener but for me has made enough improvement with our medium-hard well water to justify not installing one. I think for the price this is worth a try.

Let my water softener run out of salt, put this Yarna on the inlet to my bladder tank (From outside) and there is no smell AND the taste of the water is amazing. Have a hard time believing it worked so fast. So far so good!!

This is my second Yarna product purchase. In 2020 I purchased a Yarna UV water sterilizer to treat the water pumped from a lake to use in our summer home. The combination of the UV sterilizer with sediment and carbon filters provide me with excellent potable water. The Customer Service provided by Yarna during the purchase and installation of the UV filter convinced me to try their Capacitive Water Descaler System. Our second home has water supplied by a municipal system. The water is of poor quality. The water is hard and acidic. It smells of sulfur, taste bad, and causes the metal plumbing fittings and valves to corrode and fail. An expensive, complicated, and high maintenance water softener system can fix these issues, but only with adding the necessary salts that such a system uses in order to achieve such results. Thanks to my experience with Yarna and their UV filter, I was introduced to their Capacitive Descaler System. I did more research and found out that by combining such a system with sediment and carbon filtration, I could achieve the same results that a traditional water softener system could, at a fraction of the cost, without the mechanical maintenance, nor the constant expense of treatment chemicals. I should mention, that before I purchased and built my system, I contacted Yarna Customer Service, and once again, their response was immediate, helpful, friendly, and top notch in every way. My questions were answered and I continue to have great confidence in their products and service.

First of 5 stars for customer service. I had a question about best location to install it and sent a picture. They replied within the day and provided me with helpful tips. Most importantly, they noticed a grounding wire, that I didn't even know about. They told me to install it at least 2 meters (5 feet) from it, for best results. This was less than ideal, as I wanted it close to the entry point, but installed it according to their instructions. It's been about 3 weeks, prior to which I had cleaned out a lot of the places where we used to get heavy scale build up and it looks like it is doing an awesome job. For the price, I think this is an awesome option. I don't have the space for a salt water system, nor for one like aquasana, also, I didn't like the idea of flushing salt into our drainage system or lugging a bag every few months. Based on 3 weeks of usage, I definitely can recommend this system. I will keep monitoring and update this review. The first 2 picturea are what I sent customer service and they pointed out the grounding wire. I was planning on installing it some where on the vertical leg of the pipe. Ended up installing it in the ceiling section, as that was where I could get the 5 feet clearance.

The unit was easy to install on a joint between two straight sections of my basement inlet line. It has only been installed for two days, but the water already feels “slicker” than before. Also, water at the kitchen faucet flows noticeably more strongly. So far, I am impressed with the Yarna CWD48 descaler. However, I am even more impressed with Guru Brands, the seller of the Yarna descalers. After receiving two defective units from Amazon (the displays did not light up), I called the Guru customer service number to ask if I could order a CWD48 unit directly from them. The outstanding customer service representative explained that Amazon fulfills all all their orders. The sent me a UPS return label and asked me to return the second defective unit to them, so their engineers could examine it. They also worked through Amazon to quickly refund the purchase price. After they received my return, the Guru rep emailed to thank me, and to report that thy were removing the current Amazon CDW48 inventory from sale. Later, she confirmed that the factory was shipping new (working) units that would arrive at Amazon between January 25 and February 1. So I placed my order for a third CWD48 unit on January 13. Since the inventory was still in transit to Amazon, the outstanding Guru rep spotted my order and instructed the China factory to FedEx a unit (probably at great expense) directly to my home! It arrived on January 18! Guru employees went above and beyond throughout to provide outstanding service after the sale!

for clarification, water softener doesn't need the water descaler systerm. but i still need water descaler for different reason. i replaced both new whole house water filtration system and water softener for the water heater to be used for shower. however i decided to add the yarna water descaler system (cwd30) as back up on 3/4" copper piper near by water meter (main water supply) for prevent any rust inside the copper pipes with any cold water pipe for general like drink, laundry, dishwasher, sinks AND water bypass thru water softener to protect hot water as back up. i turned both yarna's cwd30 on and whole house water filtration on filtered (not bypass) within three days then i've noticed little dots of sediment fell on white filter (whole house water filtration). after three days, i turned the water softener on to the full service salt from bypass then it somehow vacuum the water harder/faster into tank itself then bingo, yarna descaler's area helped loosing up (nonstick) the old full sediment build-up inside the copper pipe to be flushed way then become trapped in whole house water filtration safely. oh smoke, i could see the white filter to become dark brown quickly like full of chocolate filter in five seconds unexpectedly. lucky me, i am able to see and to replace a new white filter right away. now i know that yarna REALLY work to help!

I live on a well with very hard water and minerals. So hard it has been eating thru my copper pipes for 25+ years. Four-five years ago, I had leaks occurring regularly. My plumber said the pipes are almost transparent (that's how thin they are after being eaten away by the chemicals, etc). I happened upon this gem in 2022. I haven't had any leaks since, the water tastes better and my hair doesn't have that duller yellowing look any more (created by hard water). It honestly doesn't make sense to me but I am sold.

This device is very easy to install. The Yarna company has stated that this product will take around 3 months to show progress on the effects it is doing to your pipes and with softening the water in your house. I will do an update review in about a month and a half to share my experience. I plan to do tests on my water to see if there are any noticeable changes. So far, I hope it does what Yarna states it will do and I'll keep anyone that is interested updated! Edit on September 19th, 2020: I've added my baseline hard water test strip. Will add a new test strip image every 14 days or so. Edit on October 19th, 2020: I've once again added a new water test strip photo and I'm pleasantly surprised. As you can see, it is indeed "softer". Now, I had low expectations since this device does not remove such minerals but perhaps by "cleaning" the pipes and removing the excess of mineral build-up, there is less minerals to be picked up from the test strip. Also, my dishes don't have nearly as much residue on them after the dishwasher is finished with them. All and all, I am happy and this product works for me. My water hardness was not terrible but definitely noticeable and I also have a smaller house, 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, so this product works for my situation. Huzzah!

This will not make your water soft. It will make your life easier if you have build up. Before install, i would need to clean a water optical sensor every three weeks. It has now been 7 weeks and the sensor does not have build up. This works similar to breaking up kidney stones with ultrasound. The stone(or in this case lime scape crystals) still exist but are now much smaller. This reduces the chance of build up as self building crystal structure require a critical mass to self build. You are making the dissolved minerals crystal much smaller. This means that after evaporation you are left a very thin layer of dust where would be scale

I cannot truly attest to the efficacy long term yet. My wife has nósticos cleaner bottles out of the dishwasher but we’ve only had it installed a week. That said I installed outside as this was my only access to the main line before the slab. Florida (sigh). At any rate the unit says online or In the pamphlet that it has a water rating against jets of water so I figure it would be ok. That may have been a mistake as it's status lights went out. Customer service informed me that if installed outside they recommend covering. Whoops. I may have missed that vital piece of info, but it certainly wasn’t obvious to me before. They, however, were happy to send me a new one. So score for standing by their products and hopefully they can make this more clear on installation instructions. Thanks yarna. I sincerely hope your product performs as well as your service.
