I have no experience whatsoever on watercolor or painting by that matter. So, my review is based purely on what a person new to this area can experience. There are six brushes in the package, as stated in the product info (read some people saying they received just four). The brushes are super easy to fill with water and they have no leakage at all, the flow is good and can be controlled easily. Tried them with some MozArt supplies watercolours, and I liked the experience, as I said before I have no real experience, but was able to do what some beginners tutorials suggested. So far, I am very happy with my new brushes, they are easy to clean and are travel ready so you can enjoy them and practice virtually anywhere. Price is really great for what you get. I would definitely recommend these.

I have been using aqua pens for awhile now, I like them a lot. So I ordered the MozArt six pack, and I couldn’t be happier with them. These aqua pens addressed a mojo concern that I had with previous pens and that is they have a double grip that allows me to use them as a close to tip writing pen (as my previous pens had) and a grip further back that allows me to use them as a brush as well with no fear of slipping in the hand. They also are responsive to both tone and hue. They also have two wide flat brushes that are very cool. If you are looking for a dynamic set of responsive aqua pens then these are what you want. I rarely review, but this product deserves high praise.

I’ve used these a few times since receiving them, and these definitely will take some getting use to but most importantly they worked well for what their purpose is. No leaking, easy to use. I felt that squeezing the chamber sometimes released more water than I wanted but quickly learned to have an absorbing agent near. (Paper towel). Would recommend for someone looking for a new watercolor brush. Update: I let some friends teenagers use them who enjoy watercoloring. I was really surprised they resisted and didn’t like them. I’ve now used them consistently for a month and can’t see myself using a regular brush. Very convenient to have a chamber filled with water. Still going strong!

I ordered these and some watercolor pencils to try my hand at illumination of calligraphy. Used for about an hour, and the next day my wife and I decided to move from Anaheim, CA to Colorado Springs. We move on monday. The hour trial was frustrating because I have never watercolored and stumbled around trying to get a feel for the process. I am pretty sure the brushes work well and will do what the we designed to do. They are well built and not cheap stuff.

I am very pleased with the water brush pens sold by MozArt. This is the second purchase for me. The six brush set includes two nice large brushes for making washes on larger watercolors. I am very pleased at how easy it is to carry these lovely brushes filled with water along with my watercolor box and watercolor paper block to paint in class or painting nature out of doors. They are excellent for lettering and adding little watercolor sketches using watercolor pencils in my art journals. If you paint on the go, this set is for you.Having the water ready at just a press of the pen barrel is an excellent idea! I am giving the duplicates I now have from my first purchase to artist friends as gifts this holiday season. I have been very impressed with my art materials purchased from MozArt and have endorsed the materials in the art classes I teach at the local community center.

Once I get some more watercolor paper, these are going to be my new favorite brushes! I filled them with water and depending on how much you dip the brush into the paint or squeeze water to the tip, you can easily adjust your shading, mixing, or blending. I loved how when I was all finished, I just squeezed more water out and applied the brush tip to a test piece of paper and voila, the brush was clean! The case these came in is surprisingly sturdy so it was nice to not have to worry about storing them where they won't get squished flat.

I had a great time getting to know my way around not only these fun water color brushes but they made my experience testing out my water color pencils easy as well. I didn't have to worry too much if i had too much water on my brush or not enough. I was also saved trips to the sink to replace any sort of "dirty" water. The tips do stain a little however if you have an extra sheet or a paper towel handy there is never really any muddling of the colors or unintentional mixing of colors.

I rarely give 5 stars but I am amazed by this product! It came in perfect condition. The tubes are not cheap looking and They’re much longer and thicker than I thought which means they hold tons of water without it over soaking the brush. In fact you can easily control water flow by gently squeezing the tube. This set is also great since there are multiple brushes with different shapes and sizes. I painted some awesome work on the go during a hiking trip and I don’t regret paying extra to get it the same day! I’m very very satisfied!

I’m very happy with the water brush pens set sold by MozArt Supplies. I’ve purchase two sets for myself. The six brush set includes two nice large brushes for washes on large watercolor paper & 4 other brushes for small detail work. They’re very easy to carry these wonderful brushes filled with water along with MozArt watercolor painting set to teach watercolor classes, (and children love them.) If you paint on the go, this set is for you. I’m very happy with all the art supplies I’ve gotten from MozArt Supplies, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with any of their supplies.

These are great sets of water brush pens. The bristles are soft and easily apply paints onto the paper. The barrel, when filled with water, does not leak. Just need a little squeeze to get the water to the bristle. And just the right amount of water on the bristle, not overly saturated. Love that it comes in different sizes. This is my go to paint brushes and goes perfectly with my watercolor paint set

I love brush pens; perfect pair with pan watercolor, make painting outdoor much easier since I can clean the brushes by squeezing the tube and wipe them dry on a towel. I've tried Pental's brush pens before, but this set works even better than Pental's, water flows out easily with one gentle press on the tube, so watch out and don't press too hard. There are similar products from Amazon, but I picked Mozart's because I trust their quality.

Impressed by the quality. My first set of waterbrushes. I've heard the water flow can be hard to control with water brushes, but I didn't have a problem with these. All the different tips offer great variety for a good price. The area where you push to get the best flow control is clearly marked and easy to get the hang of. Will be using these for more watercolor projects in the future.

I loved these!!!! Just as good as the Pentel ones but SO MUCH CHEAPER and you get more variety and brushes! MozArt you are defintely becoming my favorite art supply brand. 😉 Going to be ordering more soon!!! The only downside is the biggest brush it's kinda hard to put the lid on, you have to kinda squish the bristles and that can get messy, especially if you like to do ink washes. Other than that amazing.

I really like the tips, and how easily it works with water. I was using water colors, and I did not have a water container for the dirty water. However, I was able to wipe the brush on a paper towel, and then squirt out a little water to clean the brush tip. I did have a bottle of clean water to refill the brush pens as needed. They work really well.

I love these water brush pens. They don't leak, and are great for when you want to be on the go with your watercolor pad and paints. I like the soft vinyl/plastic case it comes in and I keep them in the case to carry them around. I also like the variety of brush sizes that are in the set. I'm not a watercolor artist, but it sure is fun to play with these.

These have flawlessly for me so far. I have not had any leakage or excess amounts of water. I even store the brushes with water in them sometimes and travel and I havent had any spills. The caps seal tight. The pouch is nice to keep the brushes together neatly. Overall I am very pleased!

I love these brushes! I use them almost exclusively. There is a nice range of brush sizes and they hold their shape well. I will buy again, but that might be a while because these are good quality and they should last awhile. I highly recommend.

I love how inexpensive these pens are, I bought them as a gift for a friend who’s going to college for design and her specialty is watercolor. When I gave them to her she said she loved them and that they were quality pens. I trust her opinion.

My 13 year old daughter is my artist so I got her some of these to try out and she loves them! It is a different and unusual technique that they don't always cover in art class so it allows her to experiment with new methods! A really great gift for the art bug in your life!

The water flow is nice, I haven't had any leaks, and I like the feel of the bristle. I haven't had any stray bristles end up in my work, which is a bonus. I'm really enjoying using these pens for watercolor pencil and Inktense.

Grandkids have just recently started trying out Water colors and brushes. I added this gift to their Christmas wishes, myself. I want them to dive into all sorts of art. I got water colors and other items, similar, from Amazon. I got more thanks for their art supplies than anything else. They haven't stopped using them since Christmas Day.

I just try my new water brushes. Like I imagine are a easy to use product the hair in the brushes in medium quality but perfect for watercolouring sketches on the go and what you would expect for the cheap price. I recomend it and upload the first test l done with it

I've made some drawings with these, and they're really fun to use. Keep in mind you need to buy the water brush pens separately. And while they come in a nice case, I dont recommend trying to use them in a car or airplane, but they do travel nicely from place to place.

color doesn't bleed into the reservoir during use like other more expensive ones i have tried. only flaw is the caps of the larger brushes almost don't let the brush go back in. you have to gently pinch the sides together and stuff them in the lid carefully to keep the bristle from damage.

Order came fast & in good shape; Have painted my first picture of a collage of brightly, multi-colored birds, turned out nice (used the Mozart 20 pen brush pen set for the color!) The Water Brushes helped with the blending. Nice set, great price! Very happy and will purchase from Mozart again for sure!

Absolutely loved them. Easy to use and so much better than conventional brushes in utility. For those who like the traditional brushes, I'd like to say that the only downside to these are the bristle quality since i have some extremely good quality bristle brushes. But for watercolors, these are nothing less of PERFECT.

Best discovery ever! I even took them to work to finish a project and they were a life saver. You can control how much water to release, so it's better than using regular paint brushes. The hair doesn't fall like other brushes and it traces really fine lines. LOVED THEM!!

Love these brushes. They make watercolor easy any where I am. These are great for days when my arthritis makes sitting at my easel too painful. I can paint from my comfy chair. They are great quality, they haven't leaked, and the variety is perfect!

I chose to buy these watercolor brush pens because of the quantity and price that you get (opposed to Pentel brand watercolor, $8 is too much for a SINGLE pen). I love using them and have zero problems with controlling the water flow, the brushes also don’t shed.

Love, love, love these. The caps are a little tight and so my brushes dried bent so I would not say great for travel but it’s wonderful you can squeeze out the amount of water you want.

These work great! Use them with MozArt Brush Pens for a beautiful, watercolor painting effect! Water Brush Pens hold quite a bit of water; just don't squeeze too hard or you will flood your painting. Dab on tissue or paper towel first. Love these!

It is sooooo much easier to use these than a small actual brush that you have to keep wetting. There are plenty of videos on youtube about using them to water color with like how to switch between colors or blend.

These are great, easy to use, and very affordable! I highly reccomend. No leaking, water doesn't drip out at brush tip, and water flows smoothly when needed. I used one of the brushes to create a test palette of their watercolor paints.
