I very rarely post a review but I can say that buying this compression sock "saved me" on a recent trip to Europe. I googled and found this sock and decided to buy a pair to carry on a trip to Europe. I am 68 years old and healthy with no real issues but just decided to buy a pair. I wore them on the flight over and they felt wonderful and kept my feet from swelling. We had a wonderful trip until I decided to wear sandals when visiting a museum with marble stairs - bad idea. I ended up falling the last 3 stairs and when I landed I was sure that I had broken my foot. I did not break it fortunately but I had to travel the next day with a 9 hour jet trip and there is no way that I could have managed without the wonderful compression socks. I went to a doctor when I got home and he said to continue wearing the compression sock and to keep my foot elevated as much as possible. Well it is 3 weeks later and yesterday was the first day that I went without my wonderful compression sock. I wear a size 13 shoe and the sock was just so comforting to my swollen and purple foot. I did fold down the sock about 4 inches from my knee because I have a large calf size. The sock NEVER lost its snugness!!! I wore it with some open sandals to work. I can never thank the company enough for creating such a wonderful sock. If anyone is traveling, I would never go without taking compression socks.

Here is real quality and excellent design. These are far superior to any other compression hose I have ever had. I seem to recall that these were more expensive than others, but boy are they worth it. They are softer and thicker and smoother to apply. Not hard and smooth like others that take more effort to don. Using my crenelated rubber gloves, I could easily move (not work) these socks over my feet and ankles and both lower legs. They are very comfortable and cool. Having the toes, soles, and heels a different color than the rest of the stocking is brilliant. When using other all-black stockings, I find it is often difficult to maneuver the heel of the stocking onto my heel--it's all one color. I often have to make readjustments to get a proper heel fit, partly because the stretched heel is difficult to see during application when the fabric is being stretched. With the different colored marking, however, it is a snap to see and guide the stocking heel onto my heel with one easy movement. My new Run Forever Sports stockings are black with light grey toe, sole, and heel stitching. One problem: I ordered 20-30 mm Hg compression. However, the package holding the stocking gives no compression number. I'd hate to think that at least some of the ease of donning is because the compression of these stockings is less than 20-30. Is it possible these socks are made only for running and not also for therapeutic compression?

I ordered my first pair of Run Forever Socks early January 2017 (Black, size Large). I was very impressed with these socks! I have been on the "hunt" for the perfect compression socks for me since 12/2015. I have literally tried over a dozen different brands. Sometimes the foot area is too large, despite what is indicated on the size chart, or sometimes the foot fits, but the calf is just too tight, likely designed for people with slimmer calves. Often the fits is fine, but the fabric isn't very soft or moisture wicking. I really love wearing Run Forever socks! I wanted to wear and wash them a few times to get a complete opinion before reviewing. Here are some reasons these socks are my favorite and work so well: -- Soft and comfortable cotton blend feel - not too thick and bulky, not too thin either. So many compression socks have a synthetic, nylon feel - I often have to wear low-cut socks OVER the compression socks to be cool and comfortable in my shoes all day. -- The foot area of the sock fits my foot perfectly (I wear women's US size 11 1/2 athletic shoe/ EU 44 - 17" calf) - no extra heel area showing or heel pulled up to ankle area to fit comfortably in shoes. -- The sock comes right up to my knee where it should; no shortage in length, and more importantly, no excess to roll or fold over which causes excessive, uncomfortable tightness around top of calf. -- The socks remain right where I place them in the morning with no slipping or adjustments needed all day and evening until ready to remove for showering. -- I appreciate the fact that there are not any designs or logos woven into the calf area, just a clean, sleek, smooth appearance. The only thing I would like to see change, would be the added option to purchase a sock with firmer compression in the 30-40 mmHg range. I often want to wear maximum compression socks several times a week, so I am still on the lookout for a brand that works for me with an increased level of firmness.

I have had some leg pain with my running and a friend suggested compression socks. Run Forever had a great selection, great price and I thought I would give them a try. There was fast shipping and before the product arrived, I got an email from the co-founder Christy with care instructions and a link to their website with a YouTube video on how to put on the socks. They are pretty tight and it was a great how-to/tip video. The socks fit great. They are tight, but still comfortable. I had no trouble putting them on, but they don't have much give to them so the trick in the video is great! I have used them twice now on my run and I am pain free! It feels amazing and I do feel that my performance and recovery has improved. But most importantly no more pain. Yay! Christy was very responsive and her and her husband run a great business with great focus on customer care and support. I HIGHLY recommend a purchase from them. Happy (pain free) running.

These were ordered after my doc told me that my pretty brand, with patterns, do not work (as well) as solid colors with a consistent thread. I do have to say that these feel better than my cute socks and they are the same strength.

These are great compression socks, well made and fits just right and the compression is super comfortable. However, for some reason I developed a serious skin allergy. I wish I could use them but after just a few minutes skin irritation was obvious. Sad because these are very nice socks. If you get the right size and your skin likes them, it's a great compression sock!!!

This is going to sound insignificant to some but it means a lot to me. When the doctor told me that my ankles and feet swell because I have the very early stages of Peripheral Arterial Disease in my legs. They call it smokers legs which would be way worse if I hadn't quit smoking in August 2011. I wasn't worried because they told me it's corrective and in the very early stages and could be a huge problem later in life if I don't take care of myself. She told me I need to wear compression socks which I was not feeling at all because I pictured these ugly old lady socks. It turns out that although they are pricey they have very trendy ones and I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. So I wore them all week before I wrote a review. The first day I wore Run Forever Compression Socks I wanted to sing out loud and let me tell you, all day my legs felt amazing. No pain, much less swelling. Now I need every color and design. God help me if I find some with sparkle. I'm giggling like crazy. My legs felt so good today I literally wanted to skip down the street. Thank you god for the little comforts that make such a big difference in my life. I am 54 not 24 & I want to age gracefully ☮ I ordered another pair immediately.

I recently had a knee replacement. Things went well but swelling was inherent in the healing process and I was advised to get compression stockings. I started checking online. I've never used compression stockings but the Run Forever Sports looked worth a try. I have large calves and realized from the size chart that I needed X-large but some how ordered Medium. Imagine my disappointment when I received them. The literature that came with the socks said that if I had any problems, contact Run Forever and if possible, they would make it right. I called them and explained my mistake and they immediately credited my charge card with a refund so that I could immediately order replacements. Service doesn't get any better than that. I have received my order and started wearing them. I can't say they are easy to put on since I haven't healed enough to be able to bend down to put them on by myself, and since my calves approach the limit for even the X-large normally, with swelling it takes a good bit of effort to get them on. Once on, they do seem to help reduce the swelling and are as comfortable as I could expect in my situation.

I am surprised by how effective these socks are at reducing soreness in the calves and feet. I bought them purely for that reason, and here was my test: I started C25K running barefoot on a Monday - I was so sore Tues/Wed/Thurs that I could barely walk. Serious limping, serious soreness. I ordered these and received them on Friday. Friday I did my second day of C25K, which is the same as the first day. My left calf was so sore during the run that it was painful to complete the run, but I did. I figured, residual soreness plus my second day of exercise? I'm going to be in some serious pain tomorrow and the next day. Enter compression socks. I wore them sleeping on Friday night and woke up feeling....LESS sore than the day before. It was like I hadn't even run yesterday. To be safe, I also wore them to bed on Saturday night to make sure the dreaded 2nd day soreness didn't crush me. Today (Sunday) my calves feel pretty great. Still a little sore, but for how sore they should have been after my 2nd day of C25K barefoot, I'm extremely impressed. I will continue to use them to minimize soreness, and to help me stay on track for my running goals.

I'm not athletic in any way but fairly active in life itself. But almost 3 months ago I fell and broke my left foot. Today the cast is off, I wear a splint only part of the time. My physical therapist recommended these socks. I wear just one on the injured left foot and it really helps the swelling. Only problem I'm having is my shoe size is 10. That's right on the edge of the medium size. I washed one of the socks and now it's almost impossible to put on because it shrunk. I may have to order another pair in size "large." Other than they are great for the medical purpose they serve for me. Great product. Update: My recovery continues. I no longer need the splint boot. I ordered a second pair of these Run Forever Sports socks. I wear just one, for the left foot. Over that I now wear an ankle brace and regular shoes for time I spend away from home. Despite what I said above about one of my socks shrinking, I can still use it. Therefore my second pair is Medium as well. Again, great product for minimizing swelling and foot injury recovery!

I'm not a runner but I love these socks. My wife actually got them for me because I sit at a desk all day and my legs were starting to swell a bit and retain fluid I guess. Those of us with less than adequate circulation (you know who you are) need all the help we can get! So now I wear these socks in the morning when I take the dog for a walk...and when I workout or work around the house...and they are like magic! My legs are much better. I know eating right and lowering salt intake has a lot to do with it too but when you need the extra umph in your legs to improve circulation then these may work for you. Obviously talk to your doctor if you have edema (leg swelling from fluid retention) that's not improving because there may be bigger things going on that need attention. But if you are looking for some comfortable compression socks to just help with circulation then look no further! These go on and come off easily and don't bind or cut off circulation...at least for me they don't. They come with a guarantee...so what have you got to lose!

I have tried many compression socks, but these are the best. They are easier to put on. They stay up all day and don't leave a deep dent in my calf when removed at bedtime. They are a little longer than the others, and this makes a huge difference. Because they are a little longer, they reach the part of the leg just below the knee where the leg narrows and the shape of your leg helps to hold them up, just like your pants stay up because your waist is narrower than your hips. My other compression socks reach only about an inch or so below this point, and slip down during the day to the wider part of the calf, leaving a deep dent in this area. Since I bought the "Runforever" socks I have been washing them out each night then letting them dry on the towel rack above the heating vent. I am ordering a second pair, but would like to eventually replace all my other socks with these.

I've tried several different brands of compression socks. Some from internet sellers, the pharmacy, even the copper kind in the "As seen on TV" section" of some stores. Right away, I liked these because they went up my leg to right below the knee, without having to struggle. Sometimes with others, I can have fluid buildup above socks which cause them to slide down. On these, the material is strong, feels nice against the skin, and it has a good thickness that makes me feel I am actually wearing socks, not nylons. Have worn them for two full days, and they are comfortable. Feet have stayed cool, socks have stayed up, and, as reason for purchase, fluid buildup was prevented, barely noticeable actually. Time will tell how they hold up after some thorough use, but I have already ordered two more pair, as theese will be my go to socks. Good job on sourcing this product, I definitely recommend these!

I put them on for a 3 hour car trip and they were so comfortable that I left them on all day. Size is important with compression socks. If you do not have a tape measure, wrap a strip of paper or non-stretchy cloth around your calf and measure it that way. I wear a ladies shoe size 10w and my calf is 18 inches. I ordered the XL which fit. The foot part is a little big but not so big that it's a problem. The socks fit around my calf perfectly. If this is your first time wearing compression socks, read the instructions as to how to put them on. With a little practice, you will get faster.

Run Forever socks worked better than the German made $60 ones. The 'trick' is to put them on properly, as with any compression sock. Line up the centerline ( when sock is laying flat put thumb inside the top of back crease) of the back of the sock with center of heel and then pull up in stages WITHOUT trying to bunch up the tops. Slightly moistened fingertips help maintain a grip on sock and aid in adjusting- considerably reduces the grip needed to pull socks up. This does take longer but more than pays off in longterm all day comfort. The MOST important step is to adjust the sock so compression is even up and down your leg/calf ; it will ' feel' right and the weave will look smooth without any crease lines. Cold wash with MILD soap - NOT detergent and drip day to ensure longer service life.

When I was advised to wear compression socks by my RNP, I really didn't know what to expect. Since I needed XL, I chose these. I was impressed by the comfort the first time. Once the sock are on, I didn't notice them at all. As an RN, I am on my feet on concrete floors constantly and my legs would swell and really become fatigued after about 8 hour of a 12 hour shift. I feel these socks work really well. I gave 5 stars for working out since I work them pretty hard. Since the first purchase, I have ordered 4 more pair of these socks. I did poke a hole through one sock as I was not paying attention but it was not the fault of the sock. They wash well and the support after washing multiple times has not changed. Would I buy them again? I already have.

I purchased these to wear on a long flight, so I haven't used them yet. However, when I tried them on, they were much easier to put on than the compression socks from the drugstore that I usually wear. I know those work, but I always feel like my legs are going to be black and blue just from wrestling them on before I ever step on the plane. I also like the idea that these can be left on for long periods of time. When I'm not traveling, I plan to wear them when power walking. I get leg cramps and have tried everything to get relief from leg cramps after the fact. I didn't realize that compression socks may be the answer to prevention of them in the first place. I'll plan to add to this review after I have actually used the socks on a flight. My initial assessment is positive regarding the quality, fit, and timeliness of their arrival.

I am pretty sure I ordered the XL because I am significantly overweight. I started working out and needed something because afterwards my legs looked like watermelons below my knee. I bought these and of course I struggle to put them on because I'm overweight but I can get them on pretty easily after the first time I tried it. I wash them in the washer and then hang them out to dry and they haven't lost their magic. I've had them for a year and wear them constantly. They make my legs feel cool and they keep them small, they REALLY REALLY work. I was very pleased and very happy with these socks so I bought two more pairs, even though they were $25 each at the time. Highly recommend, I've had them for over a year now and still good as new. They're a great investment in your health!

These sox are fantastic and they worked out so well I have purchase four more in colors. They are a little hard to put on at first, but this is because of any swelling but once worn for a few days are must easier to put on and are not as tight, so do not be discouraged at first. Do not try to put them on as sox, first fold the top outwardly down to the heal, get the bottom over your toes and onto your fee then pull them up from the half folded position, once on that far them pull the folded part up. Easy once you get used to it. My leg muscle pain is gone and they give great support. I hand wash and air dry them for best results. Give them a try if you have swollen feet or ankles, or calf muscle discomfort.

Since a significant lower extremity injury last year, I have been in compressional socks for at least 16 hours daily. Appalled by prices for established name brands... think "J" and "S"... I have turned to Amazon for compression for athletes. Many are quite good. I believe those by Run Forever are the best. Why? 1. The socks are cotton. 2. They are incredibly easy to put on, so much so that I initially queried if the socks were indeed 20-30mm HG compression (they are and maintain great compression over hours of wear). 3. They are value priced. 4.There is minimal patterning. I originally thought this would not matter, but if you have experienced indentation lasting hours after removing a patterned sock with heavy seams, you're quite aware of the problem. So good are these socks, I've ordered two additional pairs. In my view, and especially if these socks last a year as suggested, they are a terrific investment.

Working in healthcare, I am on my feet all day and although I always wear good shoes, I also need to consider vein issues. I hated the idea of compression hose, as I have put them on patients myself and know they can be uncomfortable to wear. I was very curious about these primarily because of the fabric which is a cotton blend. I got the XL and they were just the right size. I really like the fabric which is much like a nice cotton sock.. but longer! I was surprised that I was able to wear them all day. I purchased this pair and another in a different brand that is not a cotton blend, and I much prefer these. I am happy I was able to have found something I can tolerate wearing all day to help prevent blood clots and broken veins. These are great socks and will definitely buy another pair of this type.

A good and properly-fitting compression sock should hug the leg and foot gently. Too loose and they don't provide any compression to help circulation. Too tight, and they act like a tourniquet and constrict too much. These socks provide enough compression without providing too little or too much. They also seem flexible, meaning that as the swelling in the left leg/foot subsides (the right leg/foot is fine), the socks will conform to it and continue to provide the proper compression. Highly recommended. As a tip, those suffering from mild edema or other causes of swelling should probably buy their socks a size big to avoid them being too tight. Those with more severe edema/problems probably need to buy their socks via prescription from their doctor; of course those will be a lot more expensive.

After trying others that were nearly impossible to get put on, I bought the first pair of these to try. My wife broke her hip several years ago and had issues with limping on her right leg since. These were easier to put on and after a couple days of wear during the day, her limp was very much better and she spoke well of the comfort while wearing them. I was impressed so bought another pair for myself as I had an ankle injury a couple months ago which proved stubborn to heal. After 2 days my ankle is making a recovery on the fast track. I'll be back to normal walking soon thanks to these. I watched the video which helped to show the proper technique to help put on and they are comfortable for all day use. While I do not write many reviews, these socks deserve a 5 star rating in my opinion. Thanks for the product.

I work 12 hour shifts with most of the time on my feet. These socks are still perfect after several years of washing them. I do hang them to dry (never put in the dryer). They have retained their perfect fit! Highly recommend!
