In my case, this was next day delivery, which was a must at the time. It had already been raining the last few days, so the floodingin my side yard was not surprising. Tends to be a low point that gathers water when it rains anyway. Oh boy was I wrong. There I was thinking I was on top of things for dripping faucets, opening cabinets, and covering outside spigots. it was freezing overnights that week. Not crazy freezing but wet and since this is texas nobodys homes are winterized. we go for more summerized lol Anywho, didn't notice the springs that had popped up in my side yard for the first day or 2 from the busted main, and then it took a few days to get someone out there to fix it. In the mean time, we couldn't just leave the water running at all times. This little bugger arrived quickly and came in very handy. Sturdy, and we were using it non-stop all day to turn the main on and off for various reasons TBH at the time I wished we had gotten the longer one, but that was mostly cause crouching down over it several times a day got old real quick. I am glad now that I have the shorter one. More portable, easier to stow away. Its good to have for when you need one, but hopefully you don't need it often lol

Bit short and not the best grip for the handles but it does what is intended... Was almost a bit too short, but that's my fault for not getting a longer one. This is the type of tool that every house hold should have just in case something happens. Have used this about 20 times while doing different projects, so far so good.

Purchased these items as a home owner “ must have” tools just in case water needs to be shut off in any Emergency or necessary repairs. Haven’t had to use them yet.

We bought this for winter. We get ice storms and pipes are known to bursts. Didn’t have to use it this year but it’s good to have on hand.

Worked as intended

I have had inly one occasion to usw this tool since I recieved it, and it worked perfectly, as advertized. It arrived in perfect condition, appears to be of very sturdy material and workmenship. It's extremly useful to have. I would recommend this tool for anyone living in a home for that "oh crap" moment when a pipe or some-such bursts, or you need to perform a bit of plumbing. This orfer also came with a small Adapter tool for water spickets and such, very handy. Recommend fully. :)

I haven't had to use it yet, but be aware that it is much shorter than it appears in the photo. Perhaps I didn't check the dimensions. I thought it would be a little shorter than a shovel, but you have to bend in half to reach the ground. Not a problem, I just thought the photos are a little off. I'm just not familiar with this type of key. (The other tool is much, much smaller in person, too.) I will update when I actually have to use it. (We had to use a wrench last time, which is why I purchased this)

my water shut off for the house does not shut off completely. I figured I could shut off the water the way the city does when I don't feel like paying the water bill, and this was the needed tool. You can use it on a disrespectful neighbor 's house who keeps flicking their cigarette butts into your garden after being asked not to numerous times. Padlocks, mouse traps and gorilla glue are pretty cheap on amazon I have found.

We had a water leak at our church that didn't get caught in time before any damage was done! And due to the fact that no one is at the church but twice a week we've been cutting the water supply until we have service! Long story short, this is a real back saver and safety enhancement, I say safety because in order to cut the water off you'll have to reach down in the meter box. This is a rural area so certain reptiles can be found in strange places I. E. Meter boxes!

Works as expected. Tough and Durable. You can get some torque behind this and it won't break. Cuts the water off as expected. Highly Recommended. No idea what I'll use the 4 way key for.

I like that this tool is inexpensive enough that I can leave it in my water meter box to use every time I go to my camp and need to turn the water off and on.

Much easy to store than the normal long handled meter cut off keys. Its sturdy, nice little plastic handle.

The valve is a little hard to get at, being below ground level and within a confined space. On top of that the valve is VERY hard to turn. I tried using various wrenches I had on hand, but none gave me both the proper access and enough leverage. This tool did the job. The 17-inch length helped a lot.

I was pleasantly surprised how strong and well made this water meter wrench was when I received it. It is only 12" long, so if your meter is very deep in the ground, it may not be long enough. My meter is very close to the surface, so it is a perfect size.

It worked great, no I have passed the time when I had to turn off the water to make repairs and I did it using vice grips and scraped knuckles, but the next time I need to turn off the water at the meter I have the correct tool. Now my meter is not 3 feet and if yours is deep then you need one with a longer handle, but mine will work fine for me.

I've needed one of these for many years and after the recent cold and 2 water lines busting it was time to buy. Very sturdy steel, it will last.

The wrench worked perfect for shutting off my water at the meter. The opening was a little big for my shut off valve, but I was able to pinch the ends so that it had a tighter fit. It was easy to do and almost seemed like it was made to be able to pinch the ends.
