We were looking for Candelabra LED bulbs that did not Flicker at full brightness (previous brands tested, flickered badly at 120Hz on non-dimming application), and compatible with older ON-Q ALC Dimmer. These bulbs are amazing, there is no perceptible flicker (see measured results photo, very low flicker index of .2), and they dim completely on old dimmer (very important, since older ALC ON-Q dimmers were very expensive, and communicate with Smart House ALC controller using a pre-wired RS-485 control link). Other brands we reviewed would not dim to "OFF" unless we left in an incandescent bulb in chandelier to load the circuit, not so with the Hudson bulb. They dim completely; the only issue is the bulbs tend to flicker below 20% based on slight power fluctuations when dimmed. This is more than likely the fault of the dimmer, since it is not designed for the fast rise time of LEDs. We also were impressed with the customer service. Hudson sent an email asking if all the bulbs were in working order, and how we liked them. In our first order we found a bulb that was cracked, and Hudson made sure the bulb was replaced in a timely manner. Here is what we liked about the bulbs: * No perceptible flicker (.2 Index see image) * Quality Construction * Nice warmness at full intensity (2700° K) * Very Bright (see comments below) * Works well on older dimmers (Dims to OFF). * Extended Temperature Range (we have suffered LED lamp failures from other manufacturers when temperature dropped into the teens). * UL Approved So what did we find that Hudson might want to change? If you have more than one light in a fixture, you will more than likely need a Dimmer. We would like to see Hudson offer a lower wattage bulb when used on a chandelier without a dimmer. We installed 9 of the Flame Tip version (no shade) on a dining chandelier and we had to install one of the ON-Q dimmers we had on hand (it would have been too bright). We have another fixture that uses 9 bulbs with individual shades and we need to install a dimmer on it as well. What else would we like changed? Most chandeliers we have are brass color, and the base of the bulb that extends from the threads could be changed to brass color to match. See the photo below: Suggestions: * Produce a 40W or 25W equivalent with same quality (NO FLICKER DESIGN) * Change color of Base to Brass as an option to bulbs We wish to thank Hudson for taking care of their customers. We ordered a total of 48 bulbs (12 were Flame Tip), one was cracked (replaced by Hudson), the other had something like wax on the glass (we scraped off, still need to test the bulb).

OK, I LOVE these lightbulbs. I have a chandelier in my place that I can't use as much as I'd like because with incandescent bulbs it gives off so much heat. I tried a couple other brands of LED candelabra bulbs and they had this huge plastic lump at the bottom which was an eyesore, so I ended up returning them and going back to incandescent. Completely by chance Amazon recommended these Hudson bulbs, and I'm so glad they did. They have the classic flame tip that looks great on a chandelier, there's no bulky plastic lump at the bottom, and they give off a great amount of light. They have the classic Edison style filament appearance too which is a nice addition. I use a Lutron dimmer for the chandelier, and it dims these bulbs almost perfectly. I feel like the response curve is a little off (the top half of the dimmer does virtually nothing and the bottom half does the whole thing), but perhaps that's my fault. The bulbs flicker a LITTLE at the very bottom of the dimming cycle, but honestly they are so dim at that point that I would never have them at that brightness anyway, and the flickering isn't particularly noticeable unless you're staring at the bulb. Super happy overall, you should get these bulbs.

These candelabra LED bulbs look nice and dim well. I replaced 15 bulbs in a chandelier with these. When I recently purchased my new house, it had 15 incandescent bulbs in there which were hooked to a dimmer. The dimmer was rated for 400 watts for being in the 3 gang box it was in, whereas 15x 40W incandescent bulbs = 600 watts. The dimmer switch was overloaded and would get dangerously hot. I replaced all 15 bulbs with these 4 watt LED bulbs for a total load of 60 watts. The switch is no longer overloaded and therefor no longer gets hot. The bulbs are equally as bright (if not brighter) and have obvious energy savings as well, but most importantly is now safe. My only complaint is the bright yellow color of the "filaments" in the Edison-style bulbs when they're off. I wish they weren't so bright/ugly yellow and were more of a darker copper color. From what I've seen though, it appears all Edison style LED bulbs have this color (I searched for other options first). When the lights are on, these are not visible unless the light is dimmed pretty low. In that case it looks nice when lit though. At higher brightness there is enough light they aren't individually visible.

This is my fourth round of changing out incandescent, compact florescent, and halogen bulbs for LED ones. I stopped going to retail stores to purchase light bulbs ever since our government decided that it was a brainiac when it comes to light bulbs and muddied the waters. (Remember their original claims about compact florescent light bulbs?) I have been buying through the internet for awhile and I had purchased six LED candelabra bulbs of a different brand from another online retailer, so--for a change and purely accidentally since those other bulbs were not currently available -- I have something by which I can compare the new ones. (In other words, I am not making this stuff up.) The four, yellow LED bars in the bulbs are not as noticeable in the fixture as they are in the product photographs online and they turn to white soon after one raises the lighting level above the "Let's leave a little light on so we don't trip over the dog" level. These bulbs have no writing on them, which is a big plus for me, since OCD-Me was bothered by the black lettering clearly visible on the other brand when the chandelier was off. The bulbs arrived quickly and all of them worked. They were nestled in their little, clear plastic shells, snug as bugs. I remembered to remove the clear, rubber-like guards from the bases before I installed them and then tested the range of dimming compared to the older bulbs, which were in the twin chandelier. (Yes, I have two chandeliers in one room.) The new bulbs have a wider range of brightness compared to the older ones, and as the dimmers are the same brand and type, I would say that these bulbs give me more choices of lighting level. By the way, the Kelvin level of 2700 gives a clean light which is not too cool. My artwork now looks great in the evening. I plan to purchase more of these Hudson bulbs for the other chandelier and move the older ones to a pair of sconces where the lettering will be seen only by the lamp shades.

These replacement bulbs are lower-priced than equivalent name brand bulbs but so far as i can tell, every bit as good. These LED-type bulbs replaced my front entry lantern's incandescent bulbs which were always going out. I wasn't sure i'd like the look but I think these actually look pretty cool, both "on" and even in the "off" position. They are also as bright as their incandescent counterparts, despite only being 1/10 of the wattage. Time will tell if their longevity is as advertised but since the incandescents were notoriously short lived, I believe these will be fine. Finally: the packaging on these bulbs seemed very secure, but one out of 6 of the bulbs was not working on arrival. I contacted the seller and they immediately replaced the bad bulb. Now that I've had these nearly a month, I wanted to post my review. These arrived very well packaged, and all worked properly out of the box. After nearly a month after installing these in some indoor sconce/accent lights that we typically don't use super often, I have to say I've been very happy with these. None have failed, the light color is true as advertised and are a nice warm light color (basically identical to the traditional bulbs I replaced). I've also noticed these are slightly brighter than the traditional bulbs I replaced, not significantly brighter, but noticeably if you install them side-by-side. I like that these don't generate the heat of traditional bulbs, and use a fraction of the energy. I've switched to LED lighting throughout my home and these were the last lights I had to change, and I'm much happier with these bulbs from Hudson versus similar bulbs that I tested/tried from both Lowes and Home Depot. I would recommend these and would definitely purchase again.

These are working out great in chandeliers I have hanging in my home. I have replaced the bulbs in two so far, and have ordered more to replace the last one to be more energy efficient. The initial cost is higher, but I am hoping they save money and energy in the long run. I did have an unfortunate experience of watching the delivery person throw the first set I ordered at the front door. I hadn't gotten any notice of anyone delivering my package to the door, and as I have a doorbell and surveillance camera through Vivint, did not get a response that someone had been to my front door. Upon reviewing my camera log, I watched the package flung to land at the door. I notified Amazon of the issue. As I often read reviews of defective or non functioning items from other customers on Amazon, I realized this may be the cause...sloppy or lazy delivery people! I would recommend more people invest in surveillance cameras. They come in handy. My second set of bulbs were delivered much more professionally. Due to the great packaging of the bulbs, all were intact and functioning as required. These bulbs sit a bit higher than typical flame tip bulbs because the base is a bit longer, but it does not distract from the overall effect. The dimming function works well. I would recommend starting at the highest setting and lowering as needed. They do seem to be brighter than the bulbs replaced and make my chandeliers glow.

Finally found the exactly bulb size and color we have been hunting for, see my before/after photo! I purchased a beautiful “Bari” chandelier that came with bulbs I hated from day one because they had a very yellow/amber color. Finding bulbs to swap them out with was almost impossible since the bulbs are exposed, they needed to be the same tube shape. Bulb color - obviously this is subjective, but I would call these a “warm daylight” color. If you prefer the soft whites or golden bulbs in your home, these might appear too white. But I have bought “white” aka surgical blue-white bulbs by mistake, and I can tell you, these are not that. They have a very subtle warm quality to it, hence my lay person description of “warm daylight.” I’m thrilled to report back that these are EXACTLY what the world needed, because when searching online for replacements, I learned I was not the only one who was looking for a brighter bulb to replace the amber/yellow stuff that ships with Hudson Valley Light fixtures (no relation, just similar name to bulb manufacturer). The only caveat is the glass isn’t as long as what I was replacing, even though the height is the same. I attached photos to show how the metal band around the bulb is visible after installation. It may bother some people if your fixture is low, luckily ours is high enough we can’t see it.

We recently put a large multi-room addition onto our house and have been buying so many new lightbulbs. These are by far my favorite of all of the different ones I have bought. The color is so bright, natural and pleasing. I wish they came in every base size! In the photo, the two bulbs on the left are these, and the two on the right are warmer. The filament is yellow, which I thought may bug me, but I never noticed again after installing them.

I am in the process of gradually replacing all of the bulbs in my house with LED's. I have had a problem finding candelabra LED's that meet my expectations. This was the first time I have purchased filament style bulbs, so I got one box to try in the chandelier over my kitchen table. I was so impressed by their performance that I immediately ordered three more boxes to use in my outdoor fixtures. I have installed most of the 24 bulbs, without any duds. The level of light is very high, and the light goes in all directions, including downward. Which is important if your fixtures face upward, which mine do. These are also the first LED bulb I have purchased that go from full off to full on with my Lutron dimmers, even though they are all advertised as dimmable. The color of the light is very similar to an incandescent bulb. The build quality looks good, in particular I like the silicone insulators and the extra thread. My outdoor fixtures have deep sockets, nonetheless the fit of the bulbs was excellent. The only unknown to me is how long they will last. Only time will tell.

Beautiful blubs. They emit a bright warm white light. Product description claims bulbs to have a "20,000 hours average life" however, one of the six bulbs from our pack has already burnt out. My purchase was made three months ago and they were installed in our exterior lanterns, which have been in use for approximately 500 hours so far. Could just be one bad bulb in the bunch, but disappointing nonetheless since each lantern takes three bulbs and there are six bulbs per pack. Will contact Hudson Lighting about this, but so far that is my only complaint. **UPDATE** 7/28/2018 Changed my headline and changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars because Hudson Lighting stood by their "2-Year Warranty" and "Purchase with Confidence" claims. I will be receiving a replacement bulb soon. Beyond satisfied with their customer service -- quick response time and communication was both professional and friendly. Thank you, Hudson Lighting! Will definitely buy again!

Update: I have purchased these again for another lamp. This specific model looks a little more high-tech than the ones I usually opt for my dining room. These are also 2700K, which is a nice color for a dining area... because it is yellow-ish and not hospital-ish. I like them and then will save me a lot of money over time. By the way, the dim well, without any high pitched noise. And none were broken in the box, which is always a big plus! I recommend these bulbs if you need a E12. Original Review: These were received all in good shape. And I say that because I've previously purchased similar LEDs, from another brand, and another store, that had a few bad eggs in the bunch. They went it a new flush mounted light, and they immediately worked. I am very happy with my purchase.

I recently decide that we needed to remove the ceiling fan in our bedroom and replace it with something smaller and more interesting. So I chose this really cool "French Bordello" light fixture. Nothing like keeping the romance going with a little nifty decor. I didn't choose standard candelabra bulbs. Instead, I when with these tube-shaped LED Edison bulbs from Hudson. These are 4 watt (40W equivalent) in 3000K warm white. Each one is about 400 lumens. Once installed, these bulbs made the fixture pretty striking to look at. And the quality and warmth of the light is just perfect. 3000K is just right. It's warm but still shows real colors. These bulbs are perfect for my wife while doing makeup and dressing.

These bulbs look fantastic, honestly, in the outdoor lighting fixtures at the front of the house. The light is a warm light as others have indicated. Imagine before using these bulbs, I was using 40watt bulbs. At 4bulbs x 40watts, that's 160watts total, on for about 12Hrs/day. Now, with 4watts/bulb, the power consumption has been reduced to only 16Watts total. That's a healthy reduction in electricity consumed. Note: I also use LED bulbs in my landscape lighting and those used to be 40watt bulbs. I think I have 15 landscape fixtures. That's a significant amount of power used each night, but moving to LEDs for the landscape lighting... that resulted in a serious reduction as well. I cannot say all LED bulbs are going to provide their expected hours of use. I found some good / well constructed landscape LED bulbs, and some that were not so good.

They are perfect just the right light and brightness!!!! I tried 4 different brands of bulbs then I got these they make me happy!!!! AND they have a Bible verse on the package about Jesus being the light!! Hallelujah!!!! What more could you ask for!!?? Thank you!

I purchased these for an antique chandelier with exposed bulbs that hangs over my stairway which is open to the second floor. The fixture is at eye level when looking over the second floor railing. The bulbs fit and worked without any issue. However, these bulbs are BRIGHT. Far too bright for an eight bulb chandelier. A dimmer is not a workable solution as the chandelier is the primary light source for the upstairs hall and is used frequently. I don't want to be fiddling with a dimmer every time I turn the light on to avoid having my retinas burned when I reach the second floor! If anyone has a recommendation for an LED candelabra bulb with a low lumen output (flame tip - frosted glass would be ideal as that's what my old bulbs are), please let me know. To summarize, great bulbs but not suitable for my application.

Finally! These are the bulbs I've been wanting! I've gone through several other brands of filament LED candelabra bulbs, and all of them had a problem with flicker - not that I could see the bulb flickering, but waving my hand around with the lights on had the kind of blurred effect you'd get with a strobe light. These bulbs *do not* have that effect, so many, many plus points right there. They also seem a bit brighter than others I've tried. I've got them in my family room ceiling fan and love them. Can't want to get them into my foyer chandelier. It's a two-story foyer, so I'll have to drag the ladder out for that, thus wanting LEDs so I don't have to replace them again for a long time. I'm so glad I finally found bulbs I can be happy with. Thank you so much, Hudson Lighting!

These lights are a perfect fit for the 10-light fixture in my dining room. The bulbs are narrow enough to fit easily and suitably inside the glass enclosures, and temperatures is just right (not too warm, not too cool), and they dim well enough for an LED (none can match that of incandescents but that's not a trade I'm willing to make). So far they've been perfect for what I need. My only question is whether they're rated for enclosures, as I couldn't find anything on the packaging or website mentioning this. However, they don't put out much heat at all, so I'm hoping it's not an issue.

Hudson Lighting bulbs work! I've spent way too much time 'testing' other brand bulbs. I've tried numerous candelabra bulb brands on Amazon to work with both Pottery Barn and Hudson Valley lighting fixtures. Using the Lutron MACL-153M Maestro, the Luton PD-6WCL Wireless Caseta and and old non-LED dimmers, I would encounter the issue where i need to have one incandescent bulb in the fixture for the other bulbs to fully brighten. Hudson Lighting was the only bulb that I tested that provided maximum brightness with all LED bulbs in the fixture that also looks like a traditional candelabra bulb. Philips also worked, but has the large plastic bottom which do not look well where the bulbs are exposed. These 450 lumen bulbs are also as bright as the 600+ lumen bulbs I returned. No buzz with any bulb. Highly recommended

We bought a new chandelier two years ago and another LED type of light bulb, it never worked, would not get really low or really high! So I asked husband to switch the control panel and we bought a Lutron dimmer switch. Well that did it we actually had to put an old incandescent light bulb in one of the 6 to work! Crazy to say the least and it was not a match. So i took a chance and looked at all the reviews on Amazon and decided with HUDSON LED LIGHTBULBS, so happy! They work on low and high and look fabulous! Do your research dimmer LED can be tricky, are house is 25 yrs old with a new dimmer chandelier!

I have tried (and returned) numerous brands of filament LEDs for my chandeliers, and had never found a suitable replacement for incandescent bulbs. They would all suffer from some combination of poor light output, poor dimming performance, 60Hz flicker, or harsh, unnatural light. Enter Hudson Lighting. I am running 3 sets of their 5W filament bulbs, in both standard and flame tip shapes, and I can confirm that they do not exhibit any of the above problems. Great light output and distribution, smooth dimming, no flicker, and no failures out of the box - 18 out of 18 working great. Subjectively, I would say they're slightly brighter and slightly whiter than the 40W incandescents they replaced, but not dramatically so. The final test will be longevity, but so far they have been perfect.

These are absolutely fantastic lights. I have been comparing many bulbs and these by far are the best. The style is great because they look just like the incandescent candelabra bulbs i took out. Very clean light and dim quite smoothly. I am using them with Lutron Maestro dimmers, the LED version and they work great. The only comment i would make is i dont think they are truly 2700K, probably closer to 2800-2900K but still a very comfortable light. HIghly recommended. Oh, and i had one bad light in the pack.. it worked but here was a piece of loose plastic inside.. i contacted teh company and they got back to me within hours and arranged to have a free bulb sent to me. Excellent service.

These bulbs fit perfectly in my dining room chandelier. All 6 bulbs are working great. They're so bright too! And beautiful, with the flame tip! I had previously tried a different set of bulbs from Hudson Lighting, and they didn't fit in my light fixture. When I contacted their customer service, their response was prompt, courteous, and super helpful. They suggested these bulbs instead, and sure enough, they worked great. I returned the old bulbs hassle-free with free shipping via Amazon. The entire experience with the light bulbs and their amazing customer service has been great! I also feel reassured that since these are UL listed and come with a 2 year warranty, my mind can be at ease. I totally recommend Hudson Lighting for LED bulbs!

First - the light is perfect - it doesn't have the clunky base of other LED lights and the filament is not distracting when not in use. The 5000K light is super bright and super white. So much so, we ordered the 2700K as replacement. If you want a super bright white light (really bright) the 5000K is your bulb. We just needed a toned down softer light and purchased the 2700K. No flickering when at full power or even when dimming. This is the first LED candelabra bulb that doesn't flicker when dimmed. I recommend.

These burn a little brighter than similar incandescent bulbs, so my dimmer is set near the lowest setting for my front porch lights. But I'm not complaining. I just hope these will last longer than incandescent as advertised. We will see. One little thing I noticed when I tried replacing an incandescent in a chandelier in the dining room....the silver bit at the bottom of the bulb sits up, and thus is visible, in the socket of our chandelier. For now am keeping incandescent in place just for the chandelier. UPDATE 2021-07-27: It's been 3 years and these things have worked great every night. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

We ordered a dozen T6 3000K 400 lm indoor/outdoor bulbs. They arrived, we plugged them in, and all was well. Except for one bulb which flickered. Hudson had already reached out to us to make sure everything was good, so we replied that one bulb was flickering. Three days later (and where we live, NOTHING comes in three days!) we had a replacement bulb. No questions asked. Customer service just doesn't get any better than this.
