I ordered this belt with five things in mind: 1) one prong fast relief, 2) non-slip surface, 3) sufficient length, 4) 12 holes in the belt, 5) dimensions: overall 4 inch equal width, doubled by 10 mm thickness. First belt that arrived is very good, but it has a few small defects. First blemish was that it did not have 12 holes as advertised, but only 10 holes! I call first hole the one closest to the free end of the belt, and the tenth hole the one closest to the buckle. On top of that, the holes are not in a straight line -- holes 2, 8 and 10 are off the median line of the belt. Hole 8 is quite off, you can see it even when the belt resides on a wavy surface, and the belt is not completely straight (as in my pictures). Next one that is slightly less visible is hole 2, with 10 being the closest to the middle line of the belt (you can almost not see that it is off). Being a one prong belt, the holes that are off the longitudinal axis of symmetry don't alter the equation at all. Third little problem is that the holes should be 1 inch apart, but after the second or third hole they start drifting further apart (which is not necessarily a bad thing) -- the distance between them is not constant, it varies slightly. So overall I was very happy with this belt, because you cannot beat the price!!! The one prong allows quick on and off, the surface is so non-slip that I ripped my pants between my legs when I did my first squat with this belt! Once put in place and tightened at a medium strength, this belt is not going anywhere -- you will rip your clothes to pieces and this belt will not move. The thickness on this belt is comfortable, but completely reassuring, once you put it on it feels like you are encased in a circle of soft steel. Belt is smooth right out of the box, it straightens right on and there is no need to un-bend it in any way, just put it on a hook and let it hang for a while, and within one month it will be straight as an arrow, without losing anything from its properties. Belt is very strong, yet very malleable, no issues in tightening it as much as your body allows it. But the belt does have a particular smell, and while the smell is not very strong, at the beginning it can be pretty persistent, especially if you are working in a small and less ventilated room. Do not put the new belt out of the box to your nose and inhale -- the smell is nauseating and overwhelming. More reason to hang it in a hook and let is straighten, while at the same time losing its factory smell. It will probably smell like that for eternity, but after each day spent in a medium size room, the smell subsides a little. After a month and a half I cannot smell it anymore, unless I put the belt to my nose. Belt has a nice feeling to the touch, the ending with the buckle being very strong, with 6 tough rivets to hold it together nicely. First belt is [50] inches long, completely extended, from the tip of the belt to the left, to the very side of the buckle roller on the right (see pics). The ten holes cover a distance of [9 and 1/2] inches long, from the left of the first hole to the right of the tenth hole (not measured between the centres of the first and last hole). Width is 4 inches, thickness is between 10 mm and 11 mm towards the buckle. So then I ordered a second belt for my son. To my surprise, even though I ordered the same size (LARGE, you can still see the round white stickers on the belts) the second belt was a noticeably longer! And it had more holes -- but again, not 12 as advertised, but 11 (go figure). I think three is my lucky number, if I order the third one, it will have 12 holes (fingers crossed). Second belt is [54 and 1/4] inches long (4 and 1/4 inches longer than its first sister). The eleven holes cover a distance of [10 and 3/4] inches long. The ends of the belts are identical as far as the shape is concerned, but the shorter belt has the holes starting a bit over 1/4 inch further from the tip of the belt (by comparison). The stitching on the first belt was intact, no blemishes, nothing amiss, nothing out of order, all flowing beautifully and uninterrupted, both on the front and the back of the belt, white stitching on black suede lining. The second belt had the outside OK, but on the inside it had a little blemish on one of the outside stitching, it looked like something very hot was poured over the belt and it sort of melted the stitching away. Also, a further bit down, right in the middle, the belt was dirty with some sort of sticky residue, seemed to be connected with the blemished stitching somehow. I cleaned it as good as I could, but you can still see the trace there. All in all, excellent belt for your money, the value that this belt is packing is amazing: for this amount of money you probably cannot get anything better in this class of professional belts. Execution of the belt seems to be uneven though, between two "identical" belts, the fluctuations are pretty big: different lengths, different number of holes, different placement of the group of holes on the belt, uneven holes as to the longitudinal axis of symmetry, and uneven distance between two consecutive holes. I gave this belt five stars out of five because I could not give it 4.75 on a scale of 1 to 5. But again, these are defects that you can live with, the belt is more than long enough, I am 40 inches at the navel, and on the short belt I am on the fifth hole, while on the long belt I am at the eighth hole (obviously more room on the longer one, plus the difference in placement of the holes that favours still the long belt). In a bind, one could easily punch in one more hole towards the tip of the belt (on the inside you can easily punch at least 10 more holes, but who would need that), even two holes if needed. So in case one packs more fat on the belly, there is still some room left for additional holes -- based on the thickness of the belt, I would recommend either going to a shoe repair shop for this work, or buying some professional grade tools -- this is a nice belt, one cannot ruin it by botching a hole (or two). No idea if the manufacturer would do such a thing if the belt is sent back to them (I mean, years after it was purchased -- that might be a good question for them) -- I purchased the LARGE size belt with this thing specifically in mind. I will try and come back after one year and post some pictures to show how the belt stood up to the wear and tear.

This has the bare minimum for what a powerlifting belt should be. 10mm at least 4 inches across and a ton of adjustability, material is super stiff which is perfect for squats and deadlifts. The bare bones of what a powerlifting belt should be and works very well. Best belt under 30 bucks ever

I've had this belt for a couple months now and I love it. It gives me something for my core to brace against when I squat and deadlift, feels durable, and looks good, so I'm happy. It will have a slight factory smell at first (probably from the leather), so I left it on my balcony for a couple days to air it out, get some sun on there. But you have to stick it close to your nose to smell it and eventually it's completely gone. As far as breaking in goes, it's not broken in, it's rigid at first which is pretty standard for a leather belt, but after a month of use (2x/week) I think it was fine. It says theres a 1yr warranty so if it falls apart you have that, but so far for me 2 months in and it's in great shape. EDIT - forgot to mention that it will help tremendously to use a metal file and smooth out the tip of the prong so it can slip out of the hole smoothly

I’ve used this belt for years! Bought a smaller one after using a bigger one for years because I lost weight. Also bought another one for my fiancée. Very high quality, excellent value.

This workout and weight lifting belt arrived quickly and without damage. It arrived wrapped in a clear plastic bag and that was placed in a very long box. I can see why they put it in a long box. If they had put it in a small box and wound it up then the belt would have memory and not be ready to contour specific to your body. You start out with a belt that it as flat as you see in the picture. I'm thankful that they thought about this and didn't ship out a funky shaped belt. I got this belt for weightlifting and doing work around the farm. We are constantly moving things around and doing stuff here on the farm. It doesn't hurt to have a little back support to make sure there aren't any lower back problems later in life. The first time I put it on I didn't notice much improvement in back support. I took it off and readjusted my shorts that I had on. Putting it back on with the belt a little tighter showed Improvement. It's keeping my core tight and preventing my lower back from rounding, should I allow that to happen. I can see where this would also help you to get a stronger lower back. This is my first time using a belt like this so don't be set back by my lack of knowledge in having it snug enough the first time. The velcro is stitched very well to the belt, it isn't loose when peeling it back apart. The velcro itself holds together while the belt is in use and isn't cheap velcro material. Nothing is glued or poorly connected. The belt feels rigid and will contour to body shape very well. The belt is comfortable to wear. I'm working outside in the woods with it on a hot summer day. There isn't any issues with working and sweating on it. The top of the belt was directly on skin and wasn't irritating at all. All edges have comfortable material sewed on. There isn't any rough material or burrs. I followed the sizing chart which turned out well. The size "medium" fits perfect on my 35' waist. There enough room to go up to a 38' waist like the chart says. The belt is going to be used a lot. If anything changes with the structure of it then I'll update this review. As with any of my reviews, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I usually reply within a day.

The first belt came mislabeled/packaged. The seller was so quick to reply and sent me a new one. Very easy and great to work with! I have lifted in the past but not with a true program or guidance, so it didn't go very well. At the beginning of this year I started an actual strength training program which focuses on compound lifts and oriented to lifting heavy: squats, deadlift, overhead press, bench press, barbell row. I have reached a point in my lifting that I need some core support. I looked into what makes a good weight lifting belt and found this one. It seems to check all the boxes for me: single prong, supported buckle bar, real leather, 10mm, less expensive/budget-minded. The reviews were pretty good so I decided to try it out. So far, I love this thing. The belt takes some getting used to and you need to do some research in how to properly utilize it and when to use it. The only issue I have is that the rough finish is a little uncomfortable. I am sure part is still part of the breaking-in of the belt. If it never gets better, it is still worth the price. I would highly recommend this belt, especially to new lifters. I am 5'10" 228 lbs, true waist 42"(where the belt goes over the belly button) and I have plenty of room with the Large belt to cinch it down. I do get some areas where the belt digs into my gut, but break-in and continual use to better place on each lift will help alleviate this. Get this one, you won't be sorry.

Don't leave reviews often but felt the need to for this. I wanted to give my perspective from someone who began to take lifting seriously more recently. I started Deadlifting seriously about 7 months ago. I started around 185 or so. I'm 6'3 175-180. This belt is extremely helpful and I got it at under $20. It is bulky and you need to break it in at first like any accessory, but it is absolutely phenomenal. I use it every time I go for a PR now and it's definitely helped me stay consistent in the deadlift. Today I hit a 315 PR, smashing my fitness goal for 2022 of 300. My lift has increased without the belt too. While this belt isn't a magic tool, it is absolutely an IMPORTANT tool to increasing your numbers.

I like it, it’s only $20 which is a steal. I see a lot of reviews saying it’s stiff, if anyone has any gym experience then you’d know that every belt is like that and needs to be rolled and worn regularly for it to adjust. It’s firm because that’s how belts are supposed to be. It’s supposed to provide support for your back which is does very well and irs very comfortable. For the price its a unbeatable deal and it works as advertised. Best $20 I’ve spent because I used to lift without a belt before and my doctor recommended me one (I have scoliosis ) and this really helps. I don’t have back pain after lifting anymore. That’s a perfect belt in my book.

To Hawk Sports, this is a superior product , comfort , and the material is too knotch. The full riveting to hold the buckle is a huge deal. I've had powerlifting belts that cost 3 times as the one I purchased from you and have fallen apart due to.poor construction . I'll be checking out your site to see what else you guys put out there , look fwd to doing more business with you guys at Hawk sports . Thanks for the great belt !!

I have a bad low back and have been doing physical therapy for a few months now. I was looking for a lifting belt for my heavier exercises to help protect my back and not risk another injury. I wear medium shirts but a small belt fit me nicely without having extra hanging off. The belt came in a long box for such a small item. The belt feels sturdy like it will cld up to a good amount of uses. The loop where the belt goes through has a plastic roller to help glide the belt easier than just on plain metal. I would recommend this belt to anyone looking for something relatively cheap but sturdy to support their back while lifting. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, I try to make my reviews as honest and thorough as possible, so that another person can know exactly what they would get. Solid belt at an amazing price. Stitching, rivets, buckle, holes are all on point. Even the finish is nearly flawless. I really appreciate the value of this belt. It's hard to find a decent one to hold your pants up for this price.

Im not sure if my previous review got deleted by accident or if its still there, but this is an update after using the belt for a few months. Once you use the belt a few times, it fits you without any discomfort. The video I have attached is from my training session. 405x5 at 142 bw! A few days before this, I got 3x1 at a lower bw of 139.2. Im currently preparing for a powerlifting meet and this belt has been really useful in training. Update as of september 2021: i still have the belt and my deadlift is up to 500 and squat is up to 350, both achieved at 138-139 bw. Strength is rising every month.

Easy to get on and off. Sturdy, does its intended job. Rec to me by my trainer as a beginner belt and I have no qualms recommending it to others. I'm not a 400 or 500lb lifter I'm a novice. This has really helped provide feedback and a great cue to help me stay braced and tight with all my compound lifts. A year later still in prefect condition being used 4x /week. Have let seasoned very heavy lifters use it,they like it as well. Thanks to successful fat loss, I am about to have to downsize, on last notch now.

Thanks to a speedy delivery from Amazon, I am proudly owning this iron-solid belt. I am still wondering how disgruntled can anyone be for giving negative reviews for such a sturdy, cost-effective, lovely gym belt. Its so sturdy that it would surely weigh me a couple of pounds wearing it. I purchased a medium size and my waist size is in upper thirties. Just 2 holes remaining on the belt. That is to give approx length of the belt. It is about 1/2 inch thicker, well woven, suide leather, has metallic groves and a stong and sturdy buckle, which is not going to come out anytime soon. Happy as of now and its going to have its gym test tommorrow.

Back in the day I was a competitive powerlifter - used the same well worn, thick, comfortable - and expensive - leather belt for 20 years. After 27 years away from the gym I decided to get back in. The usual expensive equipment is available. The Amazon ratings for this belt were positive, and the price was among the lowest - so I figured I'd give it a shot. I must say I am pleasantly surprised. This belt gives me more support than expected, while also giving me the worn-in comfort that took me probably a year to achieve with my previous belt. You know, the one I bought before the industrial revolution. Highly recommended for any level of heavy lifting.

This is my second purchase of this belt, only because I was dumb and lost the first one. And lemme be frank, BUY THIS BELT guys! For ~$20 this is ridiculous quality. I assume most of you are of moderate powerlifting background, Sure this belt doesn't feel as rigid as those $100 belts from Rogue or Titan, but it's GOOD ENOUGH. Way better than those flimsy leather belts of a more expensive price. Unless you're squatting 600 lbs or deadlifting 700, there is literally no reason to invest in one of those $100 belts. You're wasting money. This $20 belt is just as good as any you'll find in the $50 range so I'm actually confused to why it's being sold for so cheap.

I have had my Inzer belt for many years. I needed to go a size up as I outgrew my longtime belt. Ordered the Hawk single prong powerlifting belt in large. Very impressed by this product. For the price it looks like a $100 dollar belt. It is constructed well and looks great!

Hmmm this belt has suited my needs perfectly, I’ve used it 4-5x a week for about 6 months now. I squat, bench, & deadlift in it often! All the holes are spaced evenly, the layers of the belt haven’t separated at all, and the buckle/prong is fine. For the price I’d be happy if this belt only lasts me a year but I’m sure it can withstand much more (I abuse it). I even sometimes tell my friends that it’s an inzer and they believe me hahaha. Anyways totally worth the price. Oh yeah it does smell when you get it but it goes away.

Some Amazon drivers are not well trained, I’m not complaining the products but driver should get more training to identifying the address house number. This morning my stuffs was delivered to different house number unfortunately the lady is good she brought back to my home. Seller should ask Amazon to do good work for delivering. Seller paid amounts what they listed in the profile so be advised be punctual in delivering. Please don’t repeat the this kind of action in the future. Let Amazon know.

This is a thick, well made lifting belt. Good value for the price. But I wear a size 42 x 30 pants and the largest size doesn’t fit me. I’m keeping for when I lose weight.

It's exactly what it says it is. Competition thickness, well made -- though I can't say yet how well the suede is going to wear over time. As for the size, I wear 36 to 38 inch pants (36 is a bit tight), and the Medium belt pulls down to either the third or fourth hole when doing heavy squats. While I'll admit the double-prong belts look better, the single prong works just as well and is easier to work by yourself in these days of social distancing.

I have multiple belts at different stiffness's and thickness, double prong and single prong. You will not find a quality power belt for the price than this. Zero break in compared to having a super stiff belt that you have to sweat into and break in like a baseball glove. I'm 6'1 220 size 32' waist got a medium with more than enough room to grow. Buy it, you spend more money on pizza and beer on the weekend, you can't beat it.

Ok I could rank comfort but these aren't for comfort. These are to go to the gym and do what you gotta do and you want it to protect you with all the other stuff not mattering as well. That isn't to say they aren't comfortable but it is so thick and strong, the way it is supposed to be, that you have to mold what you can to it and let it brace the rest. Really great at the gym!

I was skeptical after first trying it on because it felt like it wasn't snug enough and it's very stiff out of the box, which made taking it off a pain. But after bringing it to the gym and testing it out during my deadlift and front squat, I can say that I'm very satisfied with this belt. My abdominal brace felt better than it ever has and I almost forgot I was wearing it. Holding onto the belt against a squat rack to tighten and loosen helped a lot, and I'm sure that over time the belt will break in and be more flexible

Coming from a Velcro belt i needed something to compete with. This belt gives just enough support and truly made a difference in all of my lifts. I had a bit of an issue with the buckle. I can contacted the company who responded back the same day! They offered to replace the belt and to send me a new one and allowed me to continue to train with the one I had. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I haven’t had a good customer experience like that in years. Would highly recommend.

I got the belt recently, and used it a couple of times to squat. It is pretty sturdy, and it really helps keeping my back straight when I lift heavy. It was uncomfortable because I have a small torso, and I contacted the manufacturer about it. They were very responsive, and offered to either return it or a discount. They also said that the discomfort is normal, and the belt will loosen up with time, so I decided to keep the belt and wait for it to loosen.

This belt is amazing! My waist is a 32 and I ordered the medium. Fits perfect with plenty of room to adjust. Of course it’s stiff and not the most comfortable, but it’s supposed to be tight and hold your back in place. So if you’re looking for comfort this isn’t your best bet. If you want something sturdy and to support you through heavy lifts, then this is definitely for you!

I've been using this belt for over 6 months now, no issues whatsoever with the quality of the leather or prongs. Would definitely recommend for someone who's interested in powerlifting or just needs a belt to squat or deadlift heavy. I've been lifting for ~4 years and have used Inzer and SBD belts, this obviously won't be quite as high quality but I have no complaints, it gets the job done. For reference I squat 415 and deadlift 505.

Hands down the best gym belt you can get for the price. PowerLifting type wich for me is just perfect for squats, bench and deadlift. Thick, well made, all leather belt. Seems that will last forever. Size chart is just perfect. Ordered Size L and fits me exactly in the middle eyelet. ( use size 34 jeans ) very happy with this product. International shipment available and got it in less than a week. Actually came with a plastic case that is a plus. Have no doubts about this belt, get it.

The medium size is perfect for my 35inch waist and the material is very comfortable. My only issue was that the loop on the belt snapped off. However, HAWK made it seamless and sent me a new belt in no time. There is no doubt this the best quality belt for the buck and they guarantee their product. I train with several powerlifters in my gym and they all agree - buy this one.
