My 9-year-old daughter just started her karate journey, and I'm thrilled to have found this amazing karategi! As a parent, I didn't want to break the bank on the most expensive option, but still wanted quality and comfort for my daughter. This karategi exceeded my expectations: • Perfect sizing (Size 0 fits her perfectly, she is an average size 9 years old) • Great material (breathable, lightweight) • Affordable price My daughter loves it: • Comfortable during classes and sparring • Moves freely without restrictions • Confidence booster! Minor quibble: • Sizing label was awkwardly placed in front (easily fixed with scissors!) Considering her growth spurts, I'll definitely buy again: • Planning to size up soon (will purchase Size 1)

When the uniform arrived, it was neatly pressed and very clean. No blemishes like some other users experienced. I was worried about sizing for this. I ended up going with a size 3. For reference, I'm a female: 110lbs, 5'1. It fit really well. The waist of the pants is all elastic and was slightly tight but not enough that it bothered me. I imagine that it will loosen up over time just from wear. The length was perfect as well, as I wasn't tripping over any excess material. The material overall felt lightweight and very comfortable. It was stiff since it is brand new, but it seems to be pretty good quality for the price. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend for anyone looking for a basic Gi without the heavy price tag.

I bought this gi as a replacement for my dad's, which I'd been using for the past 30 years. I chose it based on the multiple purchases, and the high ratings. That said, I was a little apprehensive about which size to order.... I am a 5'2" female, with an athletic build (wide shoulders, arms NOT like toothpicks) -- waist 31", hips 41", inseam 30". I ended up ordering the size 4 (5'6"/150lbs), and that was the right choice. The pants are a tad long-waisted on me, but the length is perfect, just a little bit highwater, and they allow plenty of room for movement. I like that they have both elastic and a drawstring (the pants from my dad's old-fashioned gi only had the drawstring :-D). The jacket fits well across my shoulders, and I could easily wear a couple of t-shirts under it if I wanted. The only thing that's less than ideal with the jacket fit-wise is the position of the ties, which are a bit low on me, and I may end up repositioning them (or not). I do like the weight of the fabric, and hope it doesn't change -- or shrink -- after it's been laundered. I doubt this gi will hold up as long as my dad's did, but overall, I'm happy with this purchase, and I do think it's a good value for the price.

The material is perfect weight, and is tough but with ease of movement. Jacket could be a little bigger around, Sleeve length great, overall length could be longer for the jacket. Overall it is a great product. I just need to get the size figured out to have same pants with a bigger jacket.

Got this Gi for my 5 year old who just started karate. It is very good quality. Her sensei was very impressed with the quality of her belt. He said not many kid uniforms come with belts like this anymore. It is also lightweight which helps keeps her cool and she also said it's comfy.

Product has good quality. Well made and fits perfectly. My daughter is about 4'4" and weighs about 60lbs. She can move freely. She likes the fit very much. Going to order another one for her spare.

This item arrived quickly and in time for our foster daughter's karate class. It fit well and has held up fine so far. This will hold us through until we receive the kyokushin gi. Also, we have not noticed any shrinkage or fraying in the fabric for this past month. Thank you. We're satisfied and would purchase again.

It was a gift but the quality and material were very good and comfortable to wear and after washing them held up well and the price was right but now it went up in price so have to find another brand

I bought this for my son who is in karate and it's exactly the right uniform. It holds up well when washed and is lightweight enough to move in.

This is high quality and definitely earned its good reviews. Only suggestion is to size down if your kiddo is lighter than the weight. Mine is the correct height for a size two but half the weight and I sized down to a size 1 and it fits BEAUTIFULLY. I have zero complaints, this product is priced well and made even better.

I needed a new gi quickly, so I took the chance with this inexpensive one. It is of excellent quality with even stitching and no noticeably loose threads. The belt is thick and solid as well, and it stays tied without loosening up. The elastic and drawstring on the pants make it very comfortable to wear, and it stays firmly in place for the duration of training sessions no matter how much I jump and kick around. It isn’t very heavy either, which is a plus when you’re hot and sweaty. The seller at Hawk Sports was very helpful via email when I needed to change size. I would say most should order true to your size/weight based on the chart. If you’re a bit broader in the midsection, then maybe size up; the pants may be a bit more long and loose around the thigh, but they’re easily hemmed and the elastic will still be effective. Wonderful item and fantastic customer service! I anticipate that this gi will last for well beyond what its price point might suggest. I highly recommend.

While the uniform is made out of quality material, the size is way off. I ordered a size too big, but while that is the size it showed it was 2 sizes smaller.

My son was into karate kid and always wanted to dress up. I was so impressed with the quality of this karate suit. He has loved and worn this for so long. We didn't have any issues with shrinking. It's really nice and thick, and it must have been very comfortable to wear. It held its shape well and it didn't stain easily (which was very nice).

I had a buy a karate outfit for my son after much research i settled with this particular one. My son is a 6 year old. It arrived in a timely manner i received just as pictured. The material was nice and comfortable. It fit my son but it was a bit short. And i believe he is taller than the average 6 soon to be 7 year old. When i realised that i reached out to company a received a quick response. They were polite and extremely helpful. They actually sent me a replacement asap. I was grateful for their kind assistance They followed up even after they sent the replacement to ensure that i reveived it I did get value for my money. It was worth it and my little karate son is excited

The material is not a strong cotton that is not see-through or thin like some others I have seen. It washes very well in cold temperature and we dry it in the dryer on low (even though it says to not use the dryer). It did not shrink at all.
