I chose this belt because it had a really good price, but it also had some good reviews and appeared to be a good choice. So far, I've squatted nearly 400# with it, I've dead-lifted nearly 500#, and I've overhead pressed nearly 200#. I have not regretted the purchase for a second. It is two prongs. I read that that can make it tricky to close. It can take a little strength to close the belt when it's as tight as I want it to be. However, I've not had a major problem with this yet. It's become pretty routine to close the belt tightly and, it feels really secure once it's closed. It's the same width throughout the length of the belt. That's what you want. You want an even distribution of pressure around your torso. It seems like it's made really well too. I haven't had it that long but, it doesn't feel like it's going to break or wear out anytime soon. It's a thick leather belt with what seems to be a solid locking mechanism. I'm really happy with the belt. You can probably pay more on Amazon for the same basic belt with some logo that will signal to people that you spent more cash, but this is a great belt if you're interested a good price and a good lifting experience.

I gave it 5 stars, however this is NOT an adult competition belt by any means nor did I expect as much. This belt is perfect for gym use to include some moderately heavy weights. I got this for my boys to use just starting out in powerlifting and being thinner than a specialized power belt it has the flexibility while providing enough support for them to perform their competitive lifts in the youth division. With that said, I will upgrade their belts when they get into heavier weights. As far as construction goes it seems to be made well and should hold up to demanding use for years. My young lifters are 10, and this belt is perfect for them, and I would believe this belt to last them for years, or until they grew out of the size. If you are looking for a serious competition belt for powerlifting then you already know Inzer, Bob's etc make the belts you need for meets, especially if you are lifting/pulling over 400 lbs. I really can't say anything negative about this belt, it will do all I need it to do right now. These are just my opinions and my expectations, and this belt may suit others beyond what I rated.

Wow! We’re impressed with this weight lifting belt! It is incredibly well-made. It’s thicker than I expected, which is perfect since thin belts have a tendency to dig into your skin with their sharp edges. It’s nice and wide too. I have back problems, so I have a back support brace which is about the same width, and I already know that it’s great at putting just the right amount of pressure all the way around, providing for better balance and less strain. This belt is just wide enough for optimal support without being too wide and limiting range of motion. Aesthetically speaking, this belt is very elegant. We got the red one and the color is very bright. I’m not sure how much it’ll bleed when we have to wash it. I’ll update when we get to it. The only negative thing I have to say about this transaction is not even about the belt itself, but about the shipping container it came in. It was a long (the length of the belt) thin box. I think it would’ve been much more efficient, environmentally friendly, and probably cost-effective to ship it in a smaller box rolled up. That would also minimize any possible damage to it. But other than that, my boyfriend is very happy with this belt!

I got myself into a jam and realized I'd be away from my home gym and equipment and was scheduled for leg day. I then saw I could get this delivered in time to right where I was at the time so took a chance on it and used it at a local gym right there. At this price I'm really impressed. When I'm back home I'll still prefer my home unit but only very slightly (and that one was around 3X the price). So... now I have two belts, but I'l find a good use for this I'm sure.

The belt came in surprisingly of better quality than I could have imagined. The only issue, which really isn't the manufacturer or belt's fault, is that for people whose waist measurement is a 33 or 39, they would have to go to a medium or large and use one of the tightest settings possible - giving no leeway room to lose more weight. It really isn't a big deal, however, in the future if there could be some overlap between waist sizes, OR take smaller increment jumps and have more size options, that would be largely beneficial. *I have had the belt for a week so far, will return in a month or two to see how it holds up. To give y'all an idea of the amount of stress I am placing on the belt, my best powerlifting meet numbers are 584, 386, 635 and my buddy who is also trying out the belt (not as often as I am) has numbers of 623, 441, 722. We are both in the 198/205 lb weight class. I understand that the belt might have been a beginner belt, but this will test the qualities!*

Received the belt with a small flaw in the assembly. I sent a photo and Hawk customer service replaced immediately, almost before I was even able to make my return. Thanks Hawk! This is a sturdy belt, not soft or broken in. You will have to break it in yourself with workouts and sweat. As my squats increased past 300 I was still using a soft Velcro belt. But the fear that the Velcro would pop open at the wrong moment was in the back of my mind. With this solid belt and that fear gone, 3 plates a side was solid the first time I used it.

If possible I would give this belt a 4.99999 out of 5 stars! Super sturdy! Super thick! The belt is wide in almost its entirety allowing more adjustment and wearing position range than just a certain spot. I could go on for a while but the reason for 4.99999 is that there is only one loop for the belt. Other than that its great! Bang meets buck and they are GOOD! Much better than my last belt, I won’t post the brand but it’s a well known name.

I am currently overseas and purchased this belt, but when I received it, the rivets looked loose and unsafe. Other than the rivets looking off, the belt is high quality. After speaking to the company, they were very quick to respond (within a day) with a solution to replace the belt and even volunteered to ship it overseas free of charge! I am blown-away with the customer service provided and I would highly recommend this product for all your lifting needs! Ryan

lifting for years - my SBD belt gave out and needed one fast for my meet. This worked just fine and was able to brace into it properly without a weird period of breaking it in.

I really Like this belt, I'm sure I will absolutely love it when I've broken it in. I sued is great and the construction excellent. I didn't give much thought to it being 10mm thick but does make it hard to operate, I really hope it gets easier, maybe if I drive over it a few times that would help, I have little doubt it can take it. Otherwise, this belt probably won't wear out.

This belt is strong. It's just the right width. It looks pretty cool. It feels good and fits well. I don't know what more you could want. It does what you want it to and it does it well. I think you will be happy you bought it. I feel like it was a great purchase.

First time buying a belt. I think it’s a little wide for a belt that is the same width all the way around like this one. They stated the width in the description so my fault on that one. However I have a small lower torso so it may just be the way it fits on me. However the durability and sturdiness were great. Very thick and a good looking belt. Just didn’t fit me too well

I squat and deadlift pretty regularly and used to use one of those cheap walmart belts. Well, I didnt feel like I had the support and got this. WOW. What a difference it made. Ive been using it for the past month, I wish I would have had this a long time ago! For how cheap it is vs name brand belts, theyve had to cut some corners and you can tell in the way the buckle metal and action feels but it does what its supposed to do!

The belt is what it is. For the quality of the belt and the price you really can’t beat it, it’s not some fancy belt that you have your last name lasered into it or anything. I’ve been lifting for over seven years avidly and I can tell you that this belt is for everyone. The beginner, intermediate, and even expert. It gets the job done and that’s the only thing I care about.

This belt is great, would definitely recommend. I’m 5’8’’ with a 33in waist (measured at my belly button) I bought a medium and it fits perfectly, has 3-4 holes so I can make it larger if i’m bulking and probably 7-8 holes to go smaller if I were to cut. Also, customer service was great, I contacted them about an issue with my product and they were beyond helpful and fixed it immediately.

this is a very high quality belt is thick and stiff as it should be fits true to the sizing chart and allows for those of us that go up and down a little to still get a good fit it is not so rigid that you have to lift differently that usual but just perfect so you can still move how you want and can still feel the support i saw some complaints on the hardware but there is no way this thing is falling apart so took some pics to show how the hardware is

This is a great starter/intermediate belt for someone looking to get more serious about their lifting but do not want to commit to the really expensive lever belts. I've been able to use this for months and although it's now broken in, it almost looks brand new. Been much more supportive than the other cheap belts out there and I've been able to take this up to a 475 deadlift and 345 squat.

I absolutely love this belt, i have a small waist and there is still room for me to tighten the belt. It’s very sturdy and a bit harder to maneuver at first but after a few uses it gets easier. The color is as bright in person. Highly recommended for female weight lifters looking for a durable, strong supportive belt with many holes for perfect custom fitting.

Great belt. It's stiff and uncomfortable because it's made to protect you for heavy squats and deadlifts. This is the second one i bought but only because I needed the next size. I assume i will never need another one because this should not wear-out. Came with sharp edges but nothing an orbital sander can't fix.

I'm not a competitive power lifter I just like to lift heavy things. I love this belt! I feel so secure and safe, nothing is going to fall out of place. I'm 5'8" 175lbs size 10ish jeans and smallest part of waist is 34in. I had purchased a L at first but it was too big, the M is just right for me.

This belt is amazing, especially for the price. It feels extremely sturdy and does not dig into me on the edges. With it being a belt with no lever you do need to vacuum your stomach in order to make it tight, but it tightens up nicely.

Price is amazing for the quality. The buckle and holes are a little stiff but that's to be expected with a new belt. I've been lifting weights for 31 years (heavy weights...not world records but deadlifts of 435lbs for 8). Don't bother buying a more expensive belt. It's not worth the extra money.

I was a little suspicious about buying a powerlifting belt on amazon, but I didn’t want to go out and spend $50+ on amazon custom belt. This belt surpassed expectation and works great! Took a couple sessions to break in because it’s a bit thick, but very well made. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cheaper powerlifting belt

I would get a lot of muscle fatigue in my lower back when doing heavy squats, bent over rows, or deadlifts. Form is all good. After using this I feel no fatigue in my lower back after heavy squats and deadlifts

Great quality, waist size is very accurate. Use it every time I dead lift, squat, or bent over rows. Has helped improve my overall back strength as I have had lower back issues for many years. I have not tried any other lifting belts but I would highly recommend this belt to anyone from a beginner to someone that is an advanced lifter.

Depending on how the belt is during the lift it sometimes pinches the belly that’s why I gave one less star for comfort, also the color will “stain” your shirt when you start getting really sweaty(wet shirt) but it come off in the wash

Really good belt. One teammate actually helped me pick it out bc I get sketched out when buying belts online bc i can’t try it on. But going on a year with this belt and it still works wonders
