It's been decades since I've actually played a board game. On a whim my SO and I decided to have some fun and we chose backgammon. Very nice value for the price, seems well made and has a good feel. The components and the playfield are solid and work well. Definitely worth gifting.

This backgammon set is well made and attractive. The pieces are high quality and the board stitching is excellent. Although it is advertised for travel, the compact size is wonderful on a home table or counter top and it stores easily. It comes with excellent instructions.

I was so surprised how very nice the backgammon game was. It was perfect. We purchased the middle size one. I love the bigger pieces and extra dice. The felt on the inside was perfect. I would definitely recommend buying this. For the price and quality. Wow. Very pleased.

I gifted this to my granddaughters, ages 7 and 10, who are becoming adept at backgammon. The red was nice for Christmas and the pieces had a good weight. In all, a good purchase!

I ordered this backgammon set specifically to use when traveling so please keep that in mind when reading this review. I looked at many different sets before ordering and thought I had written down the proper measurements but when I received this set I was a little surprised that it was bigger than expected. Going back to the measurements it is exactly as advertised 11x7.5 closed. This is slightly larger than the zippered backgammon sets found on Amazon which are 9.125x7. The weight is 1 pound 14oz for this set vs 1 pound 9 oz for the zippered set. See my attached photos to see if the difference matters to you. I know it doesn't seem like a big difference but in the hand or shoving it into my backpack it did seem to matter. To use in your home or a situation where you aren't tight on space (an RV or car travel) this is a great option. That being said, I am very impressed with this "Get The Games Out" set. It is very well made, includes nicely printed colored game instructions as well as a special tip's booklet and is nicely boxed. You would not be embarrassed to give this as a gift. I did order a smaller set for my travel (I tend to pack a lot so every ounce and inch counts, especially in my carry on backpack) but I think I will keep this set and give it as a gift because it is really that nice.

Nice backgammon set. Nothing fancy or expensive yet durable with a great aesthetic. A good set for travel or playing in a public space.

The first time I had the chance to learn how to play backgammon was with my mom on my Great-Uncle Jesse's Backgammon board which he brought back with him from WWI. The case is leather, the tokens are wood (not painted) there are black tokens and cream colored tokens. The cups are made of a thick cardboard like material very thin & tall, then of course the dice and doubling cube. It is still in great condition. My mom told me of Uncle Jesse teaching her, I taught my son and my husband and I taught our grandson. 5 Generations and hopefully future generations will take great care of it and it will continue being passed from generation to generation. My husband spent hours looking for a nice backgammon game for our grandson and he'll want to start his own tradition.
