Recovery gear is an insurance policy when your wheeling!! First and foremost you should have the basics before hitting the trails. You can assemble a kit on your own by piecing together what you’ll need to get rolling, but it can get costly. There are company’s that have pre made recovery kits, some offer more than others, some are high quality and there are some that offer a lot for the money, but the quality is just not there! Gear America offers high quality recovery gear. All of there equipment is tested by an independent company before it leaves the building. Materials are all exceptional and made to last. This recovery kit offers the essentials and comes in a well made carrying bag that can also be used as a dampener. A portion of the proceeds goes to St Jude’s children’s hospital. How awesome is that? Anything purchased from Gear America, plus your getting quality equipment to help keep you rolling on the trails. If you don’t have recovery equipment in your rig, get yourself covered with any quality starter kit, but consider this kit from Gear America, your getting high quality, tested equipment, what you get for the money is worth it’s weight in gold. Some other kits offer less and charge more. The straps are bright orange (great for when it’s getting dark), the gloves are well made too, not some cheap pair just to throw in the kit. 2 D rings and a 9 ton snatch block round out the kit. Oh the bag also has reflective material on it as well. Much easier to spot in low lit areas. Over all I’m pleased and impressed with this kit. Quality doesn’t take a back seat when it comes to safety and recovery gear, Gear America has you covered. Do yourself a favor and consider this kit if your looking to add, change or replace gear.

I opted for the 25 ton kit and was very impressed with the quality of all items included. I read a few negative reviews about the gloves, but they seem to be good quality and fit pretty well (large). Bag is sturdy too. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered 1 Feb, received mid Feb (mail is a bit slow north of the 60th parallel), currently 18 March. Have used generic straps for years cuz that's what i thought i could afford. Got tired of having to replace them after just a few uses, would always find freshly frayed & stressed fibers from the slightest use. I should've started here instead. Have used straps several times in past few weeks on/with atvs, 150/1500 series trucks, a teleskid, and a snowcat/trailgroomer. Never any concern, good quality materials & manufacturing standards are obvious. Not a single thread or fiber out of place. Shackles are sturdy, decent mass to them. Haven't needed block or gloves yet. Storage bag is great for keeping organized & easily deployed. Could make for decent damper, but haven't needed everything out at once & didn't want to risk loose shackles in several feet of snow.

Out of the package everything seems nice and good quality. Won't know until I use it under load however everything looks well made. The gloves and weighted bag are a nice bonus in this kit.

Great tow kit and it fits great in the case. Used this to pull out a jeep on a trailer and an F150 at the beach. The case makes it easy to keep in the truck under the seat and everything in one place. if it is not on sale it can seem expensive, but it is worth it.

This product is EXCELLENT !!! It is heavy duty weighing damn near 20 lbs. yet doesn't take up a ton of room. This product is meant for the full size vehicles who like to play offroad. It has everything you need and nothing is made cheap, all quality. I would not recommend this product for ATV or Side by Sides, as it would be much of an overkill and storage could be an issue on four wheelers. There is an ATV, UTV winch kit on Amazon that is also really nice. Very nice product, you won't be disappointed.

As any overlander or back country enthusiast knows, carrying an adequate amount of self recovery gear is essential to one's safety and having the gear (and knowing how to use it) will give you the confidence you need to get further back into the boonies. I had just installed a winch on my truck and needed good quality straps, D-rings, snatch blocks, etc. so I ordered this kit. Everything in the kit was as described and made of good quality, heavy duty materials. This kit is much better priced than if you purchased each item separately (including Harbor Freight) and it call comes in a handy carry bag that doubles as a winch blanket. Very good quality and value for the money.

This was a gift for my son and his Jeep as he rides off road with friends. My son was very pleased with how everything had a pocket to go into and the quality. This made my day as well as his. Thank you.

It was a very nice kit but is way too big for a UTV so it ended up in my truck.

I waited a while for this to come back in stock. It seems to be out everywhere. Quality looks good. An all in one package at a good price. My shackles came black, there are some pics with orange ones out there but, who cares. Shackles always need painted spend $4 and five minutes and paint them if you want. Not sure what size the gloves are. I wear XL and they fit except the index fingers are tight. They are really thin though. Keep them on the bag just in case but, buy some heavy duty gloves for regular use. As far as durability, we'll see. I'll update once I've used it. I'm just hoping I won't need it too soon.

Haven't tested the items yet. Just wanted to add some pictures showing the actual stamped and printed working load limits on the items. The shackles are only rated to 8 Tons (16,000lbs), the snatch block is stamped at 12.5 Tons (25,000lbs) and the 8' tow strap and the 20' tree saver are both rated at 6 Tons (12,000lbs) with a 17.5 Ton (35,000lbs) break strength.

Just installed a winch and reviewed several recovery kits. I selected this kit and I’m glad I have it. I’ve added 2 more snatch blocks in the inside pockets making it a tight squeeze but keeps all my gear in one package.

I have used this kit a whole bunch of times to pull a whole bunch of vehicles out in all different situations. I have used the tree wrap on rocks, I've anchored my jeep at the rear and pulled with the winch from the front using both straps, the build quality is good, the packaging is good, the case is great, all around a good kit. I have been very pleased with it everytime I have had to use it.

Great kit to get started for your UTV. Has everything you need to go off-road and not worry about getting stuck.

Very nice heavy duty orange shackles,snatch block has grease zirt,as advertised will fit nicely in the bag that fits in my side by side. Happy with my purchase

Much better recovery kit then I thought. Evey piece looks and feels like it is if good quality. Not sure how it will hold up. The way it looks should hold up well.

I am very impressed with the quality of this set. All items seem to be made from high quality materials and it even came with mechanic gloves that I wasn't expecting. The 5 stars is for my initial thoughts of the product. I have not used the kit in an actual recovery but I think it will do just fine. I will update my review when i use it for a recovery.

As with many purchases of this type, you buy it before you need it. So I haven't used it yet. But... it arrived promptly. It comes in fairly heavy-duty plastic sacks. These probably won't hold up to Florida heat too long - but they are nice and work great for now. The contents were as advertised and seem good quality. Will post an update if I ever actually have to use the kit.

I bought this package for felling trees using a come along for leverage and directional guidance. I'm very impressed with the quality of the straps, shackles and even the gloves!

I love the bag! Everything you would need in one spot. We keep this in our jeep when overlanding and feel a lot safer for having it.

Great quality products delivered in a high quality, water resistant, and what seems to be quite a heavy duty bag that doubles as a line dampener. After placing my order i sent an email regarding glove size and was happy to receive a response just a few hours later. Their team reached out to me and sent a smaller glove size the next day, and let me tell you a team that is prompt really makes me feel confident in my purchase.

Products arrived quickly and are very nice. Other than the tree saver strap, I have not had to use them yet. I have used straps and snatch blocks many times and these are as nice or nicer than others I have had in the past. I only wish the D-Ring Shackles arrived in the orange color pictured verses black. No bearing on the product, I just like the orange color of this product.

Had to exchange the first order due to missing and wrong color shackle. The replament was complete, but only problem is the shackles are not orange as pictured. Contacted gear america and they said they have replaced the orange shackles to black. They were happy to send me a set of orange since I originally ordered due to wanting an orange shackles as pictured. Good quality kit, definitely a must have as part of recovery kit.

So far so good. Bought this for my Polaris ranger 900 crew. Straps along with everything else feels heavy duty and seems it will last as long as the Polaris. The bag that comes with it surprisingly fit down into the storage compartment under the seat which was an added bonus.
