I recently purchased Gear America D-rings, and I’m impressed with their sturdiness and design. They feel robust and seem well-made, ideal for heavy-duty use and towing needs. The finish looks durable, and the attachment mechanism is secure. I’m based in Michigan, where weather conditions can be quite challenging. I’ll be keeping an eye on how well these D-rings hold up against rust and wear over the next few months. For now, they seem like a solid choice, and I’ll update this review once I have a better idea of their long-term performance.

Needed a larger shackle for my front bumper. These are perfect! 7/8 pin is exactly what I needed but attractive and color on the beach is also needed. Lose one in the sand that is black you will never find it. Feel good now about the bumper as far as using a soft shackle with these. SAFETY FIRST with this stuff. Now have confidence but still will be ultra careful. They are beautiful and the packaging is extra nice as to not chip the thick paint. As a plus, it does feel good to auto donate to SJ. Will buy another set.

Bought this for my Jeep Wrangler and on my first rock crawl, I smashed one on a boulder. Can barely even tell, these things are solid. I also happened to meet one of the owners of the company once by chance, really nice people.

Easy to use and very heavy duty. Will not fit side by side, but just check the measurements you have. this is a thick well built unit. It would scare me to see what could possibly break it.

I’ve had a pair of these D-rings installed on the metal aftermarket front bumper of my Toyota for 4.5 years. Done several off road vehicle recoveries with a kinetic rope in that time and they’ve held up perfectly. Even the finish looks good. The black color has faded a little bit, but still no rust. Overall very strong and reliable! I’ll absolutely buy them again if I need more.

Have had these before. Lost one on the trail. Now I have a safety zip tie through the pin around the shackle.

Heavy duty mega shackles look fabulous in red for my black truck great for towing or pulling out vehicles stuck in the mud and with washers so to keep them from swaying

These shackles are really heavy duty you can definitely feel the weight to them and seem to be a hig quality product. Only thing that bummed me out was the green didn't quite match the green in the picture it was off a shade or 3 but other than that awesome heavy duty product.

First off, the quality of these shackles is 10/10. Also, the company is awesome. They send 10% of proceeds to St. Jude's, have a lifetime guarantee/warranty, and send some fun stickers and swag. The best part about this product for me is it's a perfect match to Ford's Cyber Orange! Anyone with a CO Bronco...THESE ARE YOUR D RINGS!! Couldn't be happier.

Very well built shackles that have held up to numerous off-road recoveries. Paint is much stronger then I had expected for the price!

I was worried that the red would wear or chip off after use but last week during hurricane Ian I had to pull a f150 that was stuck on the beach If they didn’t chip break or bend under the tension to get him out I’m sure they will last a very long time

Great product, fast shipping. Got these for my mother, for her jeep as a Christmas present. She loved them also went with this company because we saw them at Daytona jeep beach week and noticed the product then an she liked them. Another amazing thing 10% goes to St. Jude's Children hospital. Its a win win for everyone. The children are getting help, Moms happy, an you help a great american business.

I bought these as a color-matching set to replace my old ones that had rusted over time. I am extremely happy with the look and durability of these. I feel confident knowing if I do get stuck off-road or need to assist pulling someone else out of a ditch that these will not give me any problems. I highly recommend them!

The orange while not exact, works great with the Jeep nacho color. I use mine mainly for the emergency chains while pulling it behind an RV. You will need oversized hooks to fit over them.

I believe these will make a strong point of connecting.. seen some saying rust has started from scratches, but that is to be expected ... if mine get surface rust then it's ok with me.. rust will never weakened this metal,,. We're looking at the most important thing,, strength!! I own other Gear American products and am very happy with there products! Update.. this is another purchase of these shackles in another color but can't say enough of good about these! And very pleased with them and there involvement with St Jude.

I love the design...the quality...the look of it in my new off-road front bumper. This thing is a beautiful beast. Made my last pair of shackles look like toddler toys. GearAmerica is doing things right, in my opinion. Keep it up. I'm already planning my next purchase for the rear of my 70 Scout 800A. Will continue to recommend you to friends and family. The shackles are badass next level. Really Impressed the company gives St Judes Hospital 10 % of sales Perplexed and Frustrated because right on the box it says Designed in USA then Made in PRC. MADE IN PRC (PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA) I realize the company is in the business of making money. Com'on GearAmerica we would happily pay even more $$ if these were made in the USA.

I ordered both the tow hitch and two D-rings and I’m pretty pleased with the product. Definitely appears to be extremely well made and sturdy. I’ve only had them for a week and haven’t had the opportunity to actually use them, I’m pretty confident they’ll hold up just fine. They actually send you a couple different size isolators for your D-rings, which is awesome because that’ll ensure you won’t have any vibrations when it comes to your D-ring mounts.

Added the perfect touch of color to the front of my ZR2. High quality coating/paint. Packaging was top notch. Like opening High-end jewelry. I hope to never have to test their strength. But based on fit and finish I beleive they will be more than capable of using as an anchor point for whatever trouble I could get my ZR2 into.

Heavy duty. Look great on the truck. Haven't used in a recovery situation so I can't speak on durability yet. Will update if any issues arise. I was worried about the pins backing out but with the rubber spacers that are included it locks up tight on my application. I did use a wrench to torque the pins tight.

Really nice shackles. Thought they would be just a little bit bigger in size of the shackle opening but probably not able to and get the strength rating for the size of steel that is used. Works well for my 16K winch which is used with rigging to move a 14K mulcher when It gets stuck (picture show instance that needed right at 40K of pull to get it out using a much lighter weight winch with much more complicated rigging.
