I got right to work pulling down trees. My husband cut the trees while I pulled the rope with the truck. Couldn’t have done it without this pulley. I would recommend !

Used it for the first time today. Snatched a skid steer uphill, out of a mud hole deeper than the entire height of the tires. My 12,000 lb Warn winch wouldn’t do it alone and my truck was slipping all 4 tires in 4 low. Put this snatch block on using a shackle and hooked my winch back to my bumper shackle on my truck and pulled it straight out. It took everything my winch had even with the block so I was putting max stress on this thing and when I was done it just folded back open and came off the cable and went back in my truck like nothing ever happened. Saved the day. Can’t say enough good things about it. Just make sure you have shackles and a GOOD heavy duty nylon strap and it’s easy.

Haven’t used it yet but seems to be very stout. Hope to never use it, but fully expect it to meet my needs. We have two snatch blocks and a 12,000 lb winch so “should” be able to extract ourselves out of sticky situations. 10,000 pound Cat skid steer, and a 6,000 pound BobCat ToolCat.

Haven’t used hit have no doubt it’s robust. I like its smaller foot print compared to some other brands. Takes less trunk space. Pricey compared to some local HF tool retailers that sell for 25% the cost. Not sure the value is 75% better but definitely is nicer appearance.

Bought this for use on a roll off dumpster trailer. Works really well with heavy loads. I have used it on 3 ton loads and the difference compared to not having it are significant. I can tell the winch worked much better with it.

I liked the first one I bought for my powerwagons 12000 lbs winch I bought another one to keep in my rzr xp4 1000. These things work great for 1/2 -9/16 cable.

Used this block to haul double-wide (32"), wet rounds up a hill from a 150' white fir I took down. I used a 200', 1/2" synthetic rope and this block had no issues. My only complaint: due to the design of the handle, I had a hard time fitting the shackle through. Overall, I highly recommend.

I have wire cables and several snatch blocks. I have a new ram 3500 with a rope cable. I was told I needed to use a snatch block design for rope. I guess it's synthetic actually. This snatch block is well made and the clearances are very tight. It looks like it'll do the job quite well. I have not tried it yet.

Item looks to be well built . Time will reflect durability. Although there was spelling errors on the box I can only hope this is not a nock-off to "Gear America's" name brand .

They weren’t kidding when they called it Mega Duty. This thing is so much beefier than your standard snatch block. Here are some pictures that show the difference. I have a standard 8T Snatch Block that I recently purchased, before finding the mega snatch block from GearAmerica. The standard one is made from stamped steel and I’ve seen many of them bend or snap during recoveries. The mega snatch block is made of thick forged steel, it’s more compact, has only a single o ring that is about twice as thick as the two o rings on the standard pulley. It also has a much higher capacity and I’m confident it can pull any vehicle out. My winch is only rated at 12,000 lbs and this snatch black works with winches up to 25,000 lbs and I like to have a hefty safety cushion with all my equipment. I am returning my standard snatch block and getting another mega snatch block and I can just use both during complex recoveries.

The Snatch Block was Not what I was looking for, but I was Not using it for what it was designed to do. So I'm sure it would pull out an ATV's from a ditch. But I bought it, to use it on a cable pulley system for a Lat machine. The problem with that was that the Snatch Block does not have a ball bearing center shaft for the pulley to ride on, so its metal on metal as it spins, and very noisy while trying to lift only 150 lbs. So I returned them and bought a true pulley that had an 800 pound weight rating, for my Lat machine. So I'm NOT trashing or bashing the Snatch Block, it just did not work for my needs.

I have wanted one of these for quite a while. I have a few of the 10,000 lb snatchblocks, and while they work for most jobs, I wanted the security of a cast iron frame and greaseable spindle for smooth operations. In the pictures above, I am showing my most frequent use thoughts for this as well as packaging and size. 1. The snatchblock in the box. 2. This block is about the size of my hand, but very heavy. 3. The pulley groove vs. my 12,000 lb winch cable. 4. The pulley groove vs. my 1/2" climbing/pulling ropes. I plan on owning another in the future.

This thing is small, compact, fairly lightweight, strong as hell, and fits my synthetic rope supply very well. I keep this thing on my compact tractor (the Ranch Pony). I can't count the number of times I needed a pulley to get something moved, lifted, or ripped from the ground. I nearly bought their larger/less expensive unit. I'm glad I went with this one. I just tuck it under the seat and it is there when I need it. If I destroy this unit through the normal course, I'll be sure to provide an update. I don't anticipate any issues. It is [considerably] stronger than the rope I use and should exceed the pulling power of the compact tractor even if the rope can't.

I have been using these to skid log 5 acres. So far they have performed quite well. Bearings can get a tad warm when pulling trees. A drop of machine oil on them daily hopefully will see the, last through the operation and some time beyond. They are working for what I need them for. Trees are mostly water birch, hickory, some pine and "gumball" trees. A could of large firs are on property. No problem pulling water birch. It is not a dense wood. Some have to be bucked to a workable size to pull.

I was Pulling 12 to 16 inch diameter trees with the ATV which required some physics when I was working on a hill side. The snatch block allowed me to secure one end of my cable to a tree which gave the ATV enough pulling power to hall up sections of the tree after being cut into 4 foot lengths. The snatch block is engineered perfect for fast hookups and designed to be a user friendly system. This along with any future maintenance repair that may be needed can be very easily done. This was a great purchase with may applications whether on the farm or out working the trails and when riding back country.

I've used these on 2 recoveries ... #1 to pull a Dodge 3500 up a snow & icy hill on Big Bear. Did a double winch line pull. #2 pulled a Nissan Titan up a muddy hill and out of a drainage ditch. Once I got the Titan up the hill; I had to use Gear Americans tree saver and did a 90 degree pull to get the Titan out the drainage ditch. This was all winch pulled from a 2014 4runner using a Smittybilt 12k X20 winch.

Have used this several times to safety pull some down trees. Use was never near the weight limited as this is very heavy duty.

i couldnt nit pick any of the products i recieved if i tried. these days im so used to writing reviews that read more like hate mail than a review that i literally had to take a moment to compose myself before doing this. i bought the recovery kit plus 2 extra tree savers, 2 extra snatch blocks and 2 3/4 shackles. shipped quickly to alaska and arrived well packaged. GearAmerica doesnt mess around when it comes to rugged quality and good looks.they are now my "go to" for any new gear needs in the future.thanks team at GearAmerica for restoring my faith in "American made"!

Where are using the snatch box for moving logs. Seems to work great. It arrived quickly. Only one was delivered when I ordered two. This seems to be an Amazon error. I contacted the company, and they will send out another one right away. Great customer service.

I like to always buy the best of whatever is out there usually i think this was a tad bit over kill for my jeep haha. But thats ok. When the time comes to b used it wont fail.

First major overlanding trip, and I had the opportunity to use my new winch, GearAmerica tree saver, tow strap and snatch block! A tree was blocking our path and I was able to pull the tree out of the way. The snatch block is easy to use, worked great with my synthetic winch rope, and because the color is bright orange, it was easy to spot when I dropped it in the leaves. Love it!

This Ultra pulley block is exactly what I was looking for. Very nice quality and features. I like the fact that the connection to the block is designed for a soft shackle. Very few are, so the total weight savings is pretty big. I was impressed that it arrived packed in a nice foam lined box, not a stapled plastic bag. That tells me that whoever made it was proud of it.

These are great. I ordered a set and will make a great addition to my rope and pully collection. The coating is great too and they easily swivel and feel strong. I may get more yet.

Outstanding product. I wasn’t sure what to expect ordering this snatch block but when I received it I was very please at the build quality and How well it looked. I have all of gear America’s straps and schackles so this snatch block was a no brainer. All of there gear has withstood the abuse I tend to put it through. Outfitting your off-road rig does not have to break the bank. If I’m going to count on recovery gear In a bad situation, I’m going to count on gear America.
