First let me start by giving the Bamboo Bay Company a big thumbs up! I contacted them thru Amazon before purchasing to confirm that this comforter was indeed machine washable as I don’t use ANY bedding that can’t be laundered first. I received a quick reply giving step by step washing instructions. Thank you Bamboo Bay! The comforter was delivered a couple days later in a box so small, it had both my husband and I laughing, but as soon as I opened the sealed plastic bag inside the box, the comforter immediately sprang to life. There was absolutely no odor and the comforter came sealed and in pristine condition, however, as I stated above, I refuse to put anything on the bed without washing it first, so off to the laundromat I went. I used one of the commercial front load washers with a mild detergent and 2 tennis balls, each covered with a sock as per the instructions, but used no fabric softener, also as per the instructions. I then placed it in a large dryer along with the tennis balls and dried on a delicate setting. It took a long time on low heat to fully dry, but the result was totally worth it. My new comforter came out extremely soft and fluffy with no wrinkles, pilling, loose threads or shrinkage. (I could probably have used my own washer/dryer, but I felt it was best to provide the extra room a commercial washer and dryer affords to allow the comforter to fully expand and dry thoroughly.) Once dry, I inserted it into my duvet cover to protect it, but if I didn’t have little dogs who love to sleep on the bed, I would have loved to use it as is. It was so soft and cloud like! I would also like to mention that the same day my comforter arrived from Amazon, I received an additional email from Bamboo Bay thanking me for my purchase and again including the full washing instructions. Very nice touch! In conclusion, I am very pleased with my purchase and I especially like the fact that this is a veteran owned company. I can’t yet comment on the cooling properties of this comforter, as I haven’t yet used it in the Texas heat. I hope to be able to invest in a duvet cover and sheets from Bamboo Bay someday as well to truly take advantage of the cooling properties of bamboo, but for now I am very, very happy with my purchase! (I will come back and update this review as soon as I can regarding the cooling properties.). In the meantime, I highly recommend this comforter and this company!

Bought this for my son and he said it is THE best comforter he has ever had. It’s soft, lightweight, and keeps him cool. He loves it!

I love this duvet! It is fluffy, soft, and cool to the touch. I love cozying up in it. I bought a king size for our queen bed, and it fits well. I think the queen size would have been a bit too small. Also, one of the reviews stated the duvet filler was not made from bamboo. I checked the tag when the product arrived, and the filling is exactly as described (100% hollow fiber).

So light and fluffy and soft. Its one of my favorite luxuries. And you can wash it! I want it even when its too warm for a blanket. Even if I fold it down or move it to the side (because I have to be touching it somehow) it is always on me when I wake up. Love it more than words can say. Get a super soft cover too and you will want it, at least, just as much as I do.

I love it!!! The material is very soft and keeps you fresh at night while keeping you warm. I haven’t washed it yet, but so far I have no complaints at all about this product. I highly recommend.

I can't get over how fluffy and soft my new comforter is! I washed it as soon as I got it, according to the instructions listed in the comments section here, and it is just perfect! It really does feel like I'm wrapped in a fluffy cloud. It was also really convenient when I was washing it that it's easy to tell which parts are still wet, for rearranging it in the dryer so that it dries completely. In comparison, my last comforter would always come out of the dryer with whole sections of fluff that didn't fully dry, but it still felt dry on the outside, so I just had to run it over and over again and hope for the best.

I’m liking it for it is different than most.

I’ve been using this for a couple nights now and I’m in love!!! It’s so fluffy, feels amazing, and cools fast! Only issues I’ve had was when drying it, I ended up having to let it air dry for the night.

I love this duvet! It is not too thick, warm enough (we are in South Florida) but I think it will be comfortable for the warmer months as well. Size is terrific and it has a nice weight to it. Has 8 loops for the cover. Really happy with the purchase

Feels like sleeping on a silky cloud

I reaaaaally wanted to like this and the bamboo duvet cover from them too, but they did not work out for me, a hot sleeper. It may work for you, though, and in the end, I'm giving 5 stars because of their customer service. They resolved my issues in a timely manner, and the comforter wasn't defective or anything at all (guess that makes me the defective one? 😉Lol). This comforter is so soft and fluffy, like it really is luxury for an affordable price. Fun to squeeze too because it is so poofy. Unfortunately, I was more sweaty during the night (even in cold temps) than ever before. My cat and partner were fine (in fact, I think cat is sad to see it gone), though. Go figure. Again, not for all, but if it works for you, you'll love it.

I’m a hot sleeper & profuse night sweater so I was specifically looking for a bamboo comforter that wasn’t THEN stuffed with polyester batting on the inside. I also felt like the cooling Buffy comforter was overpriced because of branding and thought this would be a viable contender. I don’t know what the Buffy is like, but this is wonderful. I still get sweaty at night here and there but this comforter is definitely more breathable than usual.

We slept so great with our new comforter last night! It was nice and warm, but very breathable so no night sweats. It's not very heavy, but allows you to layer with other blankets if it does get too cold. The material is very silky just like the sheets which are also amazing. The only thing I hope they come out with is a cover or different colors to avoid getting the white comforter dirty. Thank you Bamboo Bay, we love your products!

This is the first comforter I’ve ever used that has had the soft, fluffy, cozy feeling I love without making my tendency to overheat absolutely unbearable. I had the best night’s sleep in months once this arrived, and I’ve been tempted to order a second as a backup “just in case.” Maybe not the best if you’re looking for something to keep you warm, but perfect for anyone who likes their bed to be cozy without making things too hot.

Like bamboo & that I can breathe with it cause has down alternative fill.

I have purchased numerous sheets and comforters over the years but I have not been completely satisfied with any of them until now. I purchased both the sheets and comforter and this by far is the best I have ever purchased. They are the most comfortable and softest I have ever owned. The comforter is just the right thickness. Would definitely recommend the sheets and comforter.

This blanket is definitely cooler than down, despite our layered foam mattress. The outside is cool to the touch as advertised, but then you cannot use it with a normal duvet. We purchased a linen duvet that was expensive than the bamboo cover, and that worked well, too. I'm not sure if it works/cools better w/out the linen duvet, but we for sure wanted it encased in something. Overall, great blanket especially for the modest price.

With this comforter is like sleeping on a cloud. When I was a little girl I always dreamed of sleeping on a cloud. This comforter for fills this dream. It is so very soft and fluffy. Just like a cloud. It breaths and I don't get to hot. It keeps me nice and warm. I highly recommend buying this Comforter.

This is the softest, fluffy and most comfortable comforter. I love everything I've purchased from Bamboo Bay and this is another comforter I purchased as a gift. The receiver was so excited and loves it. Washes well. Buying as gifts in the future. Their sheets are amazing too!

Great comforter for those who sleep warm or live in warmer climates as it provides the comfort of having a blanket/comforter but without the heaviness. Keeps you feeling cool throughout the night. Have used about a month and no shifting of filling. Would like to see a matte white instead of the shiny look, but this is a personal opinion so deserves the full 5 star rating.

Soft, easily inserts into a duvet, and reasonably priced.

We enjoy our comforter. Although we do notice we like the heat on less at night because it can get warm but it’s perfect for those colder months here in Pennsylvania. We also added a duvet cover to protect it since it’s white. But great product for the price!

I love this bedspread! It’s super soft and fluffy. It’s light weight but keeps us warm and cozy. I like it so much I was considering giving it as a gift too. I would definitely recommend.
