use this when we go to airbnbs on vacation or camping so we have decent kitchen tools. very surprised by the quality and durability. have bought several for gifts.

I'm not a professional chef but I do like to cook and like to have MY knives with me when we travel, usually staying at rentals with kitchens. I've had thinner canvas wraps and they have all had issues. This carrier has a flap to secure the knives in the roll, the canvas is thick and durable, and there are plenty of shots for basic knives. This seems as if it will last quite a long time and so far, I'm pretty please with it.

Very strong and handy for me. So far my kitchen collection fits inside. Don't know for next year, probably I would have to buy a 2nd one

I never write reviews but was really impressed at the durability of this and quality for the price. It’s a great alternative to a leather knife roll and looks like it will hold up just as well. I have my super sharp brand new wusthof knives in there and it works great!

These knife rolls are made for professional cooks, who typically bring their own knives to the kitchen to work. My partner is a bladesmith, though, and often needs to carry multiple knives to a client. Even if they have their own sheaths, multiple knives can be awkward to carry, so a knife roll is one way to carry them safely. This roll is made of waxed canvas, so it should be mildly water resistant--I wouldn't expect it to be waterproof. The pockets are deep enough to hold larger-sized kitchen knives such as a breadknife or even a small cleaver. It'll hold 7 or 8 good-sized knives and possibly even a steel. To use, you slot the knife into a pocket, handle-side first, then drop the flap over the blades as additional protection. Then you roll the whole thing like a jelly roll and secure it with the attached ties. About the only suggestion I would make is adding some kind of a carry strap to the outside of the roll--with knives in place it can be a little bulky to carry. Recommended.

This is such a hardy, robust knife roll. I've got a few of these with various knives stored in them, and this one seems like the strongest to me. It's pretty stiff out of the box so I had to use a little bit of force to get it to roll up with the knives in it. But I really feel safe and comfortable that the knives are in there and they're going to stay in there. At Amazon's current price of under $30, I find this to be an excellent value. I think it's hard to find quality knife rolls like this in this price range. Highly recommended!

This knife roll is so awesome. I've been carting my knives with me to Airbnb rentals for years, wrapped in kitchen towels and sort of bundled together in a box. It worked but was definitely clunky and not particularly safe. Fast forward to receiving this fantastic knife roll and those clunky days are over! I love this roll so much. The canvas is VERY thick, and I have no concerns about the tips of the knives slipping through at all. Because it is still new, it is quite stiff, but I know it will only soften up over time. There are more than enough spaces for my favorite knives, and the top flap folds completely over so nothing is going to come slipping out. Then when you roll it and tie it off with the great ties, it's very stable and just absolutely perfect. Honestly I wish I had this thing years ago.

If you travel with your precious cutlery as I do between home and the summer cottage, this is a wonderful way to protect your knives. Whether I’m at home or summering at the camp I want the convenience of my knives that I know best with me to use. This “roll” gives total protection during that commute, keeping each one in its own pocket protecting their blades sharp and sides free of scratches and also the wooden handles as beautiful as when you first bought them. I value my expensive cutlery and love this great protection carrier for them to travel in with me. What a great accessory to have for your knives. It’s wonderful!

I always had some sort of protection on my most expensive and sharp knives. This is an amazing durable and thick knife roll. This takes up less room than the other knife holders and they are all right when you need them. I think I will be ordering another one because how well crafted this one is I will be ordering another one for the rest of my knives. You can't go wrong with this.

First, to be clear, the knives in the picture are not included, they're just an old set I had around for illustrative purposes. This is made from VERY heavyweight canvas. It's is a little bit stiff and difficult to roll now but I'm sure that will get better with time. The knives in the pictures all have plastic sheaths but they'd be fine without them. If you're going to carry a steel with your knives, make it a short one, as you can see in the picture, a 12" or larger steel is too long.

Perfect for chefs. It is made of very thick canvas material. Perfect for kitchen knives and steel sharpener. Wrapped securely and can take on traveling. I would recommend this knives holder for professional chef and alike.
