I am an executive chef for an Italian restaurant and hate wearing the bib aprons we get from our linen vendor at work, they hang around the neck and hardly protect your coat underneath, I saw this company had great reviews especially with wood working and for shop aprons in genera, a few culinary users here and there and decided to see what they were all about and let me tell you.. I am extremely happy with this purchase! I purchased the deluxe waxed shop apron and it is in fact water resistant and beads off the canvas with great consistency through the entire body of the apron! It is not intended as a heavy duty dish apron in regards to its water resistance but being on the line for 12-16 hours a day 6 days a week if not more has held up better then I could have hoped! I have not had to wash nor re wax out the bag and it has seen over 500 guest plates each day in use prep production and even in dish and has not worn what so ever! The apron comes pretty stiff at first being shipped and pristine but after a day and a half of use, molded to my body and the cross back has been a relief on my neck pain and back, all of the pockets this apron contains I use to my advantage and people at work always poke fun at me saying go go gadget something or another but being prepared for a lunch and dinner shift means having on hand and ready for anything and everything and this helps me run a great service hands down more useful then I’d imagine, towel loop and tongs on the other Guest checks, wine keys, bottle opener pilot light, extra hand guards, probe Thermometer you name it! The material is of very high quality and it has recieved many compliments on its usefulness and overall look, the shoulder strap pads are very comfortable and completely customizable, I am 5”11 and weigh 135, 28 waist I’m skinny not by choice “ medical problems” you can trust this skinny chef though! Apron fits great and has plenty of room both larger and smaller then myself. I’d be interested in future aprons more catering to the food service and production app Ron’s if they come around to specialist aprons for such professions but this apron has been fantastic in itself!

I almost never leave reviews on amazon, but this really deserves one. At the time I purchased mine, this apron was a still brand new product here on amazon with probably less than ten reviews. After I received it, I figured that the price was only as low as it was so they could sell them while there was still hardly any feedback. I thought that after selling a few hundred or these, they would no doubt raise the price after hearing how much their customers loved them. Now after two years it actually costs less than when I bought mine. Go figure lol It's still a bit hard to believe how little this apron cost considering it's quality. It's made from heavy duty canvas as the description says and really feels like a good layer of protection. It works great while I'm using my belt grinder as it keeps my shirts from having new holes burned in them, and it also works great while I'm forging steel (bladesmithing), since it protects my clothes and myself from most of the hot fire-scale that goes flying after hitting the hot steel. I'm also very pleased with how well it fits and how comfortable it is to wear. My previous cheap "leather" apron went around my neck, which I can't stand the feeling of, it's as if I'm wearing a weight around my neck or something. This one straps nicely over my shoulders, which not only makes it much more comfortable, but it also makes it feel lighter since my two shoulders are easily bearing the weight, not my neck. There are plenty of useful pockets on the front as well, so that is another plus. I would definitely recommend this apron and buy it again, although I'm not sure I'll ever need to.

This apron is exactly what I needed to wear for woodworking. I was tired of ruining my clothes with stain and finish and always hunting around for the last place I laid down my pencil and other small tool I was working with at the time. Since receiving it I have now worn it a couple of times and have these initial observations: - Very durable product, thick material, well waxed. Fit and finish is excellent. I doubt much will penetrate the wax treatment. No more splashed stain on the front of my shirt! - Initially very stiff. Out of the box the apron is on the stiff side, not unexpected given its construction. I am thinking (hoping) this is going to need a "break in" period before it reaches full comfort level and bends and twists with my body. My initial reaction was that all it needed was a good washing but the instructions clearly state that it should not be machine washed. My hope is given enough use this will eventually soften up and feel like my favorite pair of jeans. - Nice touch on straps. The straps are made of approximately 3/4" nylon web like typically found on a backpack or duffle bag for cinching things up. However the first 12" or so from the front grommet up (the portion that goes over your shoulder) on each strap is surrounded by a slightly wider and much softer material, see photo. - Pockets are great. The biggest motivation for me for purchasing an apron was to have pockets for small tools. I often found myself searching around for something I had in my hand minutes before when working in the shop. Now where did I put that tape measure? Seems like I spent more time looking for my pencil than I did actually working on my projects. The front kangaroo pockets are nice to fit tape measures, small squares and other small tools. Top pocket is perfect for pencils, small rulers, etc. I guess you could put a cell phone in there as well but not something I would do while working in my shop, its better off up safely on a bench out of harms way. If you are a woodworker I would highly recommend this apron, expect it to be with you for a very long time.

Great pockets, wear 10 hours a day doing manual labor and it’s holding up well

I bought this in 2021 and couldn’t be more pleased with the quality. I purchased intending on using as a barbecue apron and has fit the bill perfectly. Very durable and shows no signs of wear. Numerous pockets and loops(which I believe originally intended for a hammer) work very nicely for tongs or other grilling utensils. Highly recommend!

I just received my waxed canvas apron this week. I have already put it to the test on the grill and in the wood shop and this thing is great. The fabric quality seems excellent and all of the stitching and rivets are done with care. (And yes, it does repel water as shown in the images) The cross-back straps remove all of the weight from your neck and disperse it nicely over your shoulders which will be great when I load the pockets with tools. Admittedly I was a little hesitant to purchase an apron with the cross-back straps at first, but the stiffness of the fabric makes getting into this apron very easy and the pros far outweigh the cons of an around the neck type apron. I am 5’ 10” and the apron comes down just above my knees. You can also adjust the apron effectively to the height that you would prefer by pulling the straps down further through the waist rivets. I asked my 7-month pregnant wife try this on and it fit her well too. The straps have double stitching where it counts and the shoulder fabric is thicker which adds a layer of comfort. The upper pocket easily fits my iPhone 6 and a pen/sharpie and the other pockets provide plenty of space for whatever else I might need. It is clear that a lot of thought went into the design of this apron. And besides all of that, this thing just looks good. Great purchase for the money!

Great apron. I was initially worried about the fit given it's sizing claims it fits M-XXL, but it turns out there was nothing to worry about there. The apron is a good length, and comfortable to wear, even with the 'out of the box' stiffness in the wax. With time and use, I imagine it'll be even better. I use this mostly in the garage/shop while I'm tinkering with various woodworking projects. The pockets are plenty big enough for convenient access to squares, small levels, etc.., and the cell pocket keeps the phone close and out of harms way. I tend to stream music from the phone to a bluetooth stereo, so it's nice to be able to just reach in the pocket to change playlists or send off a quick text when needed. About the only things I'd change would be the little leather patch that the straps cross through on the back, and perhaps having the lower 'skirt' of the apron below the pockets split to make it easier to bend or kneel. The leather piece that the straps pass through is far too soft for the purpose (in my opinion) often bunching up and making it harder to adjust than something stiffer might. Having a split skirt in front would still offer much the same protection, but allow for greater freedom of movement. Neither is enough to warrant removing a star, as both are more my personal preference rather than any defect or shortcoming in the apron. I'm actually considering getting a second one to use with my BBQ grill. The pockets are big enough to hold my grill gloves, which resemble welding gloves, and with a little modification to some of the grill tools, I can probably use the hammer loops to keep them handy. Definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a new shop apron.

I bought six aprons! In my search for the perfect workshop apron, I came across six that were all well-reviewed and prime-ready, so I decided to do a shoot-out. Bottom line: The best shop apron is the Hudson Woodworking Edition. The best leather apron is the QeeLink. I would be happy with any of them - except the Angry Beaver. Full breakdown: Flipzon Work Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q19DT8R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Pros: Most Affordable, light and comfortable, quality leather accents Cons: Cheap straps, odd pockets, color (subjective) Summary: The Flipzon Work Apron is an attractive, light, and comfortable piece that I could see used in a variety of working environments. For the price, it is very impressive. I would say that the main shortfall is the pocket situation: the leather chest straps, while nice in appearance, are only good if your utensils have clips. None of my construction pencils do, so I wouldn’t trust them to stay. Further, while the main pocket is quite accommodating, the side pockets are too narrow for almost any of my hand-tools. I can’t think of good use for them other than straw storage. Finally, the straps are nylon, lack shoulder pads, buckles, or a connecting piece for the cross-back straps. Overall: If you’re on a budget, don’t need too many pockets, and don’t mind an apron that isn’t classic brown, this one is a great choice. ★★★★☆ LEASEEK Leather Welding Work Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DNS5SSH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: Price, quality leather, Cons: Cheap straps, heavy, color (subjective) Summary: The LEASEEK Leather Welding Work Apron is a few improvements away from being a quality apron. It was middle-of-the-road on comfort, had cheap nylon straps and a plastic cross back strap, and the color was pretty orange and splotchy. That being said, the leather did seem of good quality and the smell wasn’t as noticeable as some reviewers suggested. I’ve got a good sense of smell and this apron didn’t bother me. Overall: For an inexpensive leather apron, I think you’re getting a good deal, here. However, for a bit more, you could do a lot better. Also, the wife thought this was the ugliest one, so there’s that. The QeeLink is superior. ★★★☆☆ Angry Beaver - Waxed Canvas Work Shop Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0774CRW1P/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: color, metal grommets, hammer loops Cons: shoulder pads slip, poor fit, too short Summary: Of all the aprons I tested, there was only one loser, and here she is. Though it was perhaps the best-looking apron color-wise, the fit was relatively poor and it just seemed to want to bunch in the middle and get shorter - and it’s already a bit too short. All of the pockets are the same and they’re too shallow unless you’re only holding screws. The missing cross back strap was noticeable by comparison. Worst of all, the shoulder straps didn’t adjust well and just kept falling sideways down my arms. Overall: Nice canvas and appealing color, but otherwise, it’s a bit of a mess. You could do a lot better. ★★☆☆☆ Leather Work Shop Apron by QeeLink https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079KDMV1Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews Pros: extremely comfortable, quality leather, pocket layout
Cons: cheap straps Summary: This is the most comfortable apron that I tried on, hands down. It feels light, but protective, has a pleasant leather smell despite what some reviewers mentioned, and has an excellent pocket layout. The orange may be a bit much for some, and it is probably a touch too long for my 5’7” frame, but I like this one a lot. If it had better quality straps with shoulder pads or a hammer loop, this one would be the best. Overall: If you want leather over canvas, this here is the one for you. If comfort is most important, it still is. But if you want a bit more quality in the straps, keep reading. ★★★★☆ Texas Canvas Waxed Canvas Heavy Duty Shop Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071P9LM7P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Pros: extremely comfortable, quality straps, metal grommets Cons: limited pockets, color different than pictured Summary: I’ll keep this one short - this one is highly comfortable, has great straps with shoulder pads and a leather cross strap, and all-around just seems really well-made. The color is much lighter than pictured - more like the deluxe version. The packaging was also impressive. The only downside is the pockets just aren’t as nice as the Hudson. Overall: If you don’t wanna spend the extra $5 for the Hudson, then this is more than a serviceable shop apron - plus it is more comfortable. If you don't need as much for pockets, I'd go with this one. ★★★★★ Hudson Durable Goods - Woodworking Edition Apron https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0798WWM89/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Pros: all the bells and whistles
Cons: price, stiff Summary: Look, this one is just the best. It has a great color, excellent quality canvas and straps, a terrific assortment of deep and covered pockets, hammer loops, metal grommets, etc. The only complaint I have is that among such stiff competition, this is the stiffest. It really isn’t all that comfortable at first, but after I put a few miles on it, it started to ease-up. I was most torn between this one and the QeeLink, just because I love the feel of nice leather, especially on that particular apron. But at the end of the day, the Hudson is just pure quality and I know it will last me a long time. So for me, this one’s the keeper. Overall: If you can afford it, this one is the best. ★★★★★

This is my second Hudson apron, the first lasted me almost 5 years. Needed a replacement, so I went with the same thing. Very pleased with the purchase, solid work apron and plenty of room measuring tools. Keeps me from walking around looking for where I layed them down.

I bought two Hudson Durable Goods - Professional Grade Chef Aprons over the last two years (I lost one in a wildfire that took our cabin) and I will not wear any other apron for grilling, smoking, or cooking. I have even used it in the garage when I needed to protect my clothing. Unfortunately, our family cabin of 54 years was lost in an arson-caused wildfire on Flathead Lake, MT in 2021. To rebuild and restart our legacy, I bought a portable sawmill to saw the trees from the fire and incorporate the wood into our rebuild of the cabin, sheds, etc. However, the outside charred bark gets on everything including my clothes as I am moving logs. So, to stay a little cleaner, save the wear and tear on my clothes, and based on my great experience with the Hudson Durable Goods - Professional Grade Chef Apron, I purchased the Hudson Durable Goods - Deluxe Edition - Waxed Canvas Tool Apron. Both aprons feature over-the-shoulder straps which move the weight from your neck to your shoulders. The waxed apron has shoulder pads too, but not sure how much they help as the load on the apron hasn’t been too much…yet. It's also easy to connect the straps in the back with a buckle rather than having to try and tie a knot behind your back. Although both are made of heavy canvas fabric the waxed canvas is ideal for sawing lumber and it will also be great when we get to the woodworking stage. The fabric is stiff because of its thickness and waxed properties, but it does not hinder your movement or its functionality. The other features I like are the pencil/pen and phone chest pockets. The four lower pockets are wide and deep and carry a lot including a nicely fitting speed/rafter/framing square. The two hammer loops will be handy in the future, but I have not found a use for them while sawing wood. Overall, this is a great working apron for the shop, woodworking, and sawing timber. Furthermore, I cannot find any drawbacks or the need for additional features that would prevent me from buying again. You will not regret buying this apron!

Still new, and once I got it adjusted it fits great. Plenty of pockets and the pocket choice is excellent. I'm not sure I can get used to having a tape measure and a small square on me at all times. That alone saves me a lot of walking and searching for the hiding places these things find. Looking forward to years of use for woodworking and anything else that I do in the garage.

Good apron for work. Took me a while to get used to it, it felt quite rigid, but eventually I couldn't tell it was there anymore. I use it for when I need to do some painting/staining or cut a piece of wood and want to keep my clothes clean.

Size and functionality for a woodworker is good. Regarding the apron string, No tying needed they use a clip to secure it. Adjust once a you are good for ever. Hope this will help.

Now that I am retired I have entered the stage of life when DIY projects have become my passion. To protect my clothing from the spoils of soil, sawdust, and various other forms of crud, along with needing more pockets I purchased this apron. What a perfect product to do all the above. Besides, wearing the apron is like my superhero cape worn in reverse. Wearing it around my neck I feel as if no project is too large to handle, except climbing on the roof, I still will not climb on the roof. I now don my apron before beginning any DIY task. Also, being a man of smaller stature, the apron is longer than my shorts which prompts me to inquire of my spouse if they want to play naughty construction worker, but I digress. Purchase this apron and I believe you will be very pleased. Due to legal constraints, I can not guarantee you will be satisfied, after all, look what that did to Sears, but I can tell you I am.

I originally saw this apron when we were at a friends house who homestead. I bought it for myself and oh my word I love it. I will say that it is definitely stiff and you do have to break it in. But I love the coverage, the durability, etc. let me say that I am not a word worker, but just a normal mom of three, who is a homemaker, cooks, three meals a day, and does a lot in our garden. I wanted a really sturdy apron that could hold up to the test and this one does. Again like I said before, it is very stiff when you first get it and you do have to break it in. I’m also really tall (5 10) and I like the coverage that this one offers.

This is a heavy duty apron. Good value for the price. I needed something for woodworking so I could stop ruining my clothes. I like that it has some simple flaps over the lower pockets to keep most of the sawdust out. The pocket above the flaps is a snap pouch that goes down behind those lower pockets. The upper pockets are nice, but I don’t know how much I’ll use them. I haven’t used an apron in the past so I’m still getting used to it. The shoulder straps are nice. I like the clip so I can set the strap length and it stays there. Would have been nice to have some elastic loops to bind up the extra strap and keep it from dangling down behind me. I just used a couple of my wife’s elastic hair ties to bind up the extra strap. I’d recommend it. It’s a good value for what it is. It’s heavier than I expected, but still good.

I never thought I'd rave about a freakin' apron, but this this is just awesome. It looks great, it feels great, it's durable, comfortable, and has plenty of pockets and tool loops. This thing actually makes me want to do more work in the shop just to wear it. I also bought one for the kitchen too and it's just as great. The straps crossing in the back has been a game-changer for me. No more being strangled by a loop around my neck. The first kitchen apron did have a misplaced rivet, but Hudson and Amazon made it right quickly so no complaints. Stop looking and just buy one of these if you need an apron.

I really wanted a nice, durable apron for when I smoke meat, and was looking at some of the leather options from Traeger and Hedley & Bennett, but I couldn't justify spending over $100 on something that may end up ruined from the fat or juices from meat, and really only had one or two pockets. I took my search to Amazon, and boy am I glad I did! This apron is the real deal. It's a heavy canvas that has been waxed, which makes it a little stiff to begin with, but it softens up nicely. The model that I got has shoulder straps that cross over in the back and have a buckle clip in the back, and I love it. It distributes the weight very nicely, and you don't feel like you're wearing a millstone around your neck. There are plenty of pockets for just about anything you could need. Because this is mainly a smoking/grilling apron for me, I keep my ThermoWorks ThermoPop thermometer in one of the pen holder pockets up top, alongside by phone, which fits perfectly in one of the top pockets. I haven't filled up the bottom joey pockets, yet, but I'm sure I'll find a reason to! I love that there are two hammer loops on the side, as they hold my tongs perfectly. As far as fit goes, I'm just over 5'9" with a fairly thin build, and wear this fairly high. The top hits just below my collarbones and the bottom hits just above my knees. The sides wrap around to cover a little more than half my body, so plenty of coverage. Bottom line - if you're looking for a durable, manly and downright useful apron, look no further. The price is very fair for what you get, and it really is a handsome looking apron.

This apron is great quality! It does not cause any back or shoulder strain since it does not tie at the neck. Really like the large pockets.

I am a huge fan of this apron. I'm a chef, and I am an apron abuser. When I first saw the washing instructions basically said "don't wash it," I got a little worried, because I have a habit of going from clean to a hot mess in seconds. So far, it's held up really well! One day, I got in a fight with a 50 pound bag of flour, and it looked like the flour won. All I needed was some warm water and a green scrubbie pad, and I looked none the worse for wear. I would definitely recommend this apron to anyone, regardless of profession. Fresh out of the box, it has a stiffness to it, but after a few days of breaking it in, it relaxes and is quite comfortable. It's a little heavy, but I like that, because that means it's doing its job by keeping stuff off of my chef coat. That, and I hate doing laundry. The only two things I had an issue with: 1. The stitching on the front kangaroo pockets came apart within a few days. No big deal for me though. Instead of two front pockets I just had one big one. The second thing is that the color of the shoulder straps may bleed into your clothing. It probably won't be noticeable with dark clothing, but with a white chef coat, it's definitely there. The stain washed out without any problem. I only mention it so that if someone buys one and sees it, they don't say "oh no, my Affliction t-shirt is ruined." Don't worry, it'll be fine. The fact that you're wearing an Affliction t-shirt is on you. Again, great apron, and I highly recommend it.

My partner and I both work in the same industry - I fix musical instruments, he builds them. We both ordered this apron (I ordered the standard) and he ordered the deluxe (same material, his just had extra features like shoulder straps and pockets). Upon arrival, the aprons were weighty and stiff, but after a few wears, the canvas broke in and it has done a fantastic job for both of us. It is deep enough to carry hammers and screwdrivers and solid enough to withstand solder flecks and molten glues. If I accidentally drop a razor (I use double-edged blades consistently throughout the day), it doesn't slice the material. In fact, I could catch it in my lap and not worry about it splitting a pant leg (or flesh). My only complaint about the apron is that it retains heat quite well. Great for winter, but a little uncomfortable in warmer seasons. My partner had issues with his leaching dye on his jeans (which is normal for many articles of new clothes), so he decided to try to wash it on a delicate cycle and hang dry it. Big mistake. The washing process ripped holes in his nearly-new apron. He learned his lesson - take the tags seriously. Just as a long shot, he sent an email to the customer service team to see if he could get a slight discount on a re-order (because seriously, once you've had this apron, you won't want another one). He knew it was his mistake, but it couldn't hurt to try, right? Instead of a discount, they sent him a replacement apron! We were both VERY surprised. So - fantastic apron and even better customer service. Worth the price.

Wow! This is a super apron!! I was getting desperate to replace my old denim apron that I have worn off and on for decades, mostly off....when the string got to irritating my neck. I came close to getting some old sail canvas from a friend of mine and making my own, well until I found the Hudson product. I bought the gray one and I am very pleased. The apron is very comfortable. I like the reinforced places and the many pockets so I don't have to go looking for my pen, ruler, knife, etc. It is long enough and wide enough to keep my clothing protected. I consider this to be not just an apron, but part of my essential tools. I have had if for just over a week and put it through the test ground. I do mostly wood work, but also some stained glass jobs, and a bit of metal work too. This apron has stood up to everything without any complaints or problems. Follow up comments: I have worn this apron almost everyday now in my shop for five months. It is everything I expected and more. Even more comfortable now that it is broken in. Absolutely no problems and certainly it is the most comfortable apron I have ever worn. Certainly worthy of five stars. If you are serious about a really good apron, buy this one! You will be supporting a small business. Something that we all benefit from. Jeremy Hudson will be sure to give your order his personal touch. Great communications with Jeremy Hudson when I had a delivery question.
The double stitching and the comfort and all the pockets are just fantastic

This thing is great. I wasn't really sure what I wanted in a shop apron, but now that I have it this thing sets the standard. The fabric is thick and durable, but the apron does not seem heavy. It's thick enough that I think it would cushion a table saw kick back. I would have no concerns about sparks from grinding or cutting. This thing can take it. Even with tools on board this thing does not feel/seem heavy because of the straps being on your shoulders instead of around your neck, nice weight distribution. The straps also are thick and durable, so no fear of them wearing out and breaking with multiple ties and unties, and the thickness really helps with gloved hands. The rivets and eyelets are all nicely done and allow smooth travel for the straps. There is ample pocket space for whatever tools you need for the project you happen to be working on. I saw some complaints about pocket space. But I think it's great. This thing isn't a tool belt after all. My iPhone 6 in an otterbox fits nicely in the chest pocket. But let's be honest. I don't keep it there while working, too much dust and crap flying around. It sits safely in the cabinet. Last thing I need is it dropping onto the table saw. My only wish is that it was about 4 inches longer. At 6'1" it stops right above my kneecaps. But I only say that for keeping dust off my shorts. Once winter hits it won't matter. I would buy this again, I would buy this as a gift and I suggest you buy one as well. I may even buy a second one for not dust involved projects.

I work in a military DFAC as a Cook and the aprons they give us really serve no real purpose and fall apart within a week so I decided to invest in a good apron that would last. I saw this one and gave it a shot as it appeared to have the durability and plenty of pockets. When I received this apron I was very pleasantly surprised. Well worth the money. It's definitely heavy duty and everyone at work wants one now. It has more than enough pocket space for everything you use on the job. It has weight. Water and oil glided off of it with ease. It does keep you warm because it is a thick waxed denim but I'm ok with that. Honestly better than a dickies I had bought so honestly I will be buying several more and the hubby wants one too lol he got jealous. I recommend buying this apron if you want a heavy duty good quality apron that will last.

Firstly, this is the quickest review I've ever made, I opened the package an hour ago and I'm anxious to share, here's why. If someone had told me that a work apron could be "intelligently engineered" I would have smiled and walked away and rolled my eyes a bit... But this Deluxe work apron in black absolutely is. Sure, it's made of quality waxed canvas, sure it has a whole lot of double stitching and nice metal hardware and yes, it has good pocket variety and placement... But this isn't why. There's something that theyve done with the design and placement of the straps that have made it remarkably easy to get a perfect fit... I'm 5'3" and 135 lbs and after some adjustments to the straps it fits me perfectly, yet I can tell that someone 6'2" 220lbs would get their perfect fit too. Just decide how high you want the "collar" adjust both straps equally til it fits your waist at the perfect "belt" for you and you're done (and you'll never have to adjust again, just engage the clips). After I did, my fingers touched the bottom of the hoodie pockets exactly like magic... The waterproofing works as well and better yet, I can tell that it will only feel better over time. Anyone can make an apron, not everyone can make one that makes you happy to wear.

I am very pleased with this apron. While the fabric is thick and durable, it isn't overly heavy. It was a little stiff when I first started wearing it, but it loosened up quickly and now it is very comfortable. All pockets (except the pen/pencil pocket) are double stitched with heavy thread and riveted with quality brass rivets. The hammer/tape measure loops are heavy duty webbing that is double stitched and riveted on. The two lap pockets have loose flaps over them which help to reduce the amount of chips and dust they collect. Nice touch! All the straps are heavy duty webbing and contact the apron through heavy brass grommets. The shoulder straps have broad pads, so they don't cut into you when you have a bunch of tools in your apron. My only complaint isn't really a complaint, but more of a comment. I am a stout guy, so the strap is too short to buckle in the back. I easily fixed this with a short length of webbing and an extra buckle set. The webbing and buckle set are black, which don't match the apron - not a huge deal to me, but if I was the one making/selling this apron, I would sell this extension, made with the same buckles and webbing used in the apron, as an optional accessory. There are plenty of people larger than 2X that would buy this apron if it fit and the extension would be a little extra income. Just saying.
