Good harness. Chain is a little short but it works, especially for the price. Be smarter than your neck harness. Don't assume the padding always has to be on your forehead. Put it on "backwards" for neck extensions, so the velcro is in front. Put the "chinstrap" behind your head for cable neck flexion so the chain pulls straight against your forehead. Great piece of training equipment that more people should implement and far fewer should poke fun at. Yes, it looks silly but so do the faces you make when you do anything hard in the gym and (hopefully) no one feels compelled to film those. This device has been a staple of my training for years and, even when I'm slacking off in the gym, I still look good with a shirt on because I have a muscular neck. Start with plain old extensions with ten or so pounds, work up to sets of fifty most days then add weight. You probably never need to go over 50 lbs/24 kilos. Just add reps when you get there. It's your cervical spine after all. This will help keep it healthy, potentially reducing concussion occurrence and neck injuries. And you'll look better to boot. Buy one and have fun. This is a great option if you're contemplating exercising your neck.

Save yourself the 5 minutes trying to figure it out and just turn the side pieces down so it gets hooked up in the corner, see in the picture. But other than that it's well made and It's probably going to last decades.

I’ve been doing “yes’s and no’s” for years, as well as modified neck bridges (as to not damage the spine) to strengthen my neck for martial arts. If you engage in grappling that heavily emphasizes wrestling, this is a good piece of equipment that you can throw in your bag and take with you when you weight train. A strong neck is pretty necessary for MMA specific wrestling and takedowns. Even though you don’t use your neck as much in Judo, there are some Nage Waza that does require some neck strength. Striking also requires neck strength, but I’d rather move my head than depend on my neck muscles and taking it when a strike is coming toward my noggin! If you are an aesthetic athlete (like a body builder) neck building does give you an overall better look, IMO. I’d recommend this to any athlete who either requires a strong neck for use (like for grappling arts), or if you are body building for aesthetics.

When I first got this item, I was beyond excited. I am a huge hat guy, and this was to be my most unique, yet. It is adjustable, so it fits perfectly on every head, including my giant dome. I received it on Friday, just in time to wear it to the club. At about 9pm, I put it on with the nicest Lacoste polo I have. I arrived, parked my '97 Accord, and got out. The accessory chain that hangs under your neck is perfect for your keys. I now won't lose them like I did in the Chuck E. Cheese ball pit, when I was defending myself against those 9 year-olds. Anyway, I casually walked up to the doorman, and he gave me a strange look. Then, he then seemed to realize something, whether it be how cool I look, I'm not sure, but he then proceeded to ask me if I was on some sort of, "spectrum." I wasn't sure what he meant, but I told him I'm sure I'm on one spectrum or another. He then let me in FOR FREE. After about two hours of standing in the corner and holding my drink, and people actively avoiding me, a guy walked up and asked what I was doing. I told him about my new hat. He then informed me the hat was much better at holding gym weights instead of my Honda's keys. I then hurried home and put weights on the chin chain. I haven't taken it off, since. It has been about 5 months, and I have the strongest neck on this side of the Mississippi. People are afraid of asking me, "yes," or, "no," questions because of what might happen to them when I nod or shake my head. With the thickness of my new neck, I now look like a shark wearing a T-shirt. If you want a cool hat, and you want to agree or disagree with people on a super-critical level, this is the lid for you. Women still avoid me, though. Must be the shirt.

I found that I didn't need the chin strap so I just looped it up over the head strap and attached the ends together. Highly recommend.

I'm a bit of a crack addict, and by crack addict, I watch chiropractors on YouTube popping necks. One of them, Dr Johnson in Houston, does a thing called the Ring Dinger. He wraps a wet towel around your neck, and yanks your head like he's playing tug of war with a gorilla. Other chiropractors use what's called a Y-Strap, and from what I can tell, doesn't do nearly good enough job. However, they sell Y Straps on Amazon, so I bought one. It's very cumbersome, slips off, barely works. Being a shade tree chiropractor I thought to myself there has to be something better... And then it came to me in a sudden, how about one of those head straps for lifting weights with your neck?! That would be perfect, and, it is. I put it on, and have my girlfriend tug on the chains, and it will completely decompress your neck and pop multiple bones in your neck and upper and mid back. At first she was scared, then secretly, she started enjoying the fact that she could decapitate me... I'm going to attach some weights, get on my inversion table, and let them drop a few inches, for the ultimate decompression!

As my husband likes to say it is definitely worth the money for this product the performance of his grade it looks very silly on him but he wants to bulk up his neck because he has a tiny neck and so far with than just two weeks of really just training his neck with this product has absolutely made a difference is coffee for his neck. He doesn’t feel like he has neck pains. It’s very suitable and sustainable. The quality is very good in the Velcro is super super perfect.

Built like a tank and is actually "comfortable", as much as can be, to use. I wear a 7 7/8" hat and found the strap placement to be perfect. Recommended

This neck harness works well for me. I am a small framed older person who does limited weight training per week using a total gym and some dumbbells. I needed another neck building exerciser beside shoulder shrugs. This harness for the price fits my needs. The harness is well made, the Velcro snug tightly and secure around my head, the snaps are large and easy to handle. I slide a 10 lb. weight thru the chains and perform a few up and down neck moves. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy this harness. I don't have any familiarity with other harnesses so I can't compare.

I use this for my BJJ and Boxing training and love it. I would suggest to not go too heavy and allow your muscles to get used to the weight bearing on these muscles. Nice and slow and you will see improvement with strength.

I’m a 21- year old who has never trained his neck. I’m so glad I’m getting started on this and it’s working well. Though I’m a beginner I can handle 15lbs. This thing will give your neck a great workout and if your looking for a stronger neck, faster head movements, and not being knocked out, then this will be the product for you with consistency. I just wish I was doing this sooner, but better late than never.

This being my first neck harness I don't really have anything to compare it with. It seems to function as expected. Am able to perform neck lifts in a variety of angels with relative ease of use with this harness. My only complaint/suggestion is I wish the strap that goes over the top part of your head was adjustable. Having a little head (I know, that's what she said) this feature would be nice to adjust the height of which this harness sits on your head. For the price of this item I am totally satisfied. When comparing products/prices with others this was a no brainer for me. Definitely recommend.

I use this with resistance bands and it works great. I have also used it with with weights at times. Obviously not made with the thick material of the more expensive straps, but it is exactly what I expected for the money and as advertised. I have been using it a lot over the time that I have owned it, and has held up to the wear very well. I'm giving it five stars because, as I said, it is exactly as advertised and works perfectly well for my needs.

Product is sturdy and the chain seems to be of high quality. I don’t have any weight plates at home but have gotten great workouts just by grabbing the chain and pulling on it for resistance

The thing works just fine its comfortable on your head I took the chain off and replaced it with mule tape which is kind of like a braided flat rope and then you can just slide the weights on there and they stay even otherwise you put the chain on there and the weights kind of the pick one side of the link of the other and it ends up being kind of off-balance so you can replace the chain it's a lot quieter which I like that to ...so yeah it's a good product for sure

If you're looking for something really comfortable, don't even bother with any kind of neck harness or neck exercises. Simply due to the nature of them and the exercise none of them are that comfortable. However, this one is the closest to comfort and easiest to use. The D-Rings on them are better than other mdoels that use traingle shaped rings. If I had to buy another neck harness I would buy this same model again.

Make sure you wear it tight to avoid injury. Was worried it may be uncomfortable but fit great with no discomfort during use. Looked at stitching and is quality. This is great for rehabilitation/strengthening of the neck. Hawk has some great products I have this neck harness and gloves, hitting mits and a gi for my daughter. Just ordered a rash guard and spats pants. The low pricing can throw you off but the products are quality

I had an old school leather harness and it abused my ears. I have large ears so I was concerned that this harness would rub against them. It DID NOT!! So, I am using it frequently in my workout routine. It is very comfortable. It is made of strong nylon straps and Velcro. I am able to lift 25 lbs and no issues with the harness coming apart. Great product!!
